  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello from Raleigh, NC!

So yea just ask him how many more SXPs are in front of you to be ordered and how many they get allocated there a month. That'll give you a better rough eta. GL

I spoke with the sales manager there his name was Mitch. He said I was #3 in line for sx orders and #1 for the WG. I am not a very trusting person in general though, so I never trust what people say, especially car salesman.

I went back and forth with Fred Anderson Kia in Raleigh and Hendricks Kia in Cary, NC. Ultimately, I went with Hendricks. For me, their online sales customer service was much better and more responsive. It is an allocated order, the initial ETA is 16-20 weeks. Based on the data on the failcat site I've seen mentioned in other threads, Hendricks handles a pretty high volume of Tellurides, so hopefully that ETA is based on what they're seeing and not just a guess. But you're right, I keep having to tell myself that the wait isn't that bad based on how long I plan on having this car ;).
I initially orderd from Hendricks. Nice show room and professional staff. I canceled it though to get the free mait from Fred Anderson. Would have stayed with Hendricks if they offered the same.

Shopping for a new Telluride here in the NC. Not sure if it was a typo but what is the mait you referenced Fred Anderson included for free?

They have it under their "Family Plan".

I'm not sure of the fine print but Hendricks Kia of Cary (their competition) said that you have to do all maintenance with them such as tires and brakes for them to honor it. If their pricing is in line with market pricing, I don't see why not. I actually have two of the exact same build on order, one with Fred Anderson and one with Hendricks.

gotcha... free maintenance. We are down in Charlotte so lifetime oil changes and car washes aren't cost effective when you factor in time, travel and wear and tear.

Thanks for the speedy reply

I ordered a Telluride SX Prestige, Gravity Gray w Nightfall / Gray interior from Hendrick in Cary at MSRP, it will be ~4 months. Fred Anderson has one coming in at the end of March, but they wanted $3k over MSRP. I'm in no rush, fine waiting a few months for a few grand. Anderson was more of a hassle to talk with, I found Hendrick a lot easier.

When shopping early December both Kia of Cary and Fred Anderson Kia agreed to sell (order) an SX-P-N at MSRP. Timeline wasn't any sooner than Muncie so decided to reward my business to the dealer selling below MSRP. I agree talking with Kia of Cary was a more pleasurable experience than FA.
