  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Thanks for having me. Lol I was wondering is it wrong to love a car so much? :)
I previously had 2005 Toyota Sienna (17yrs), various Mazda CX-9, and in my previous life I owned 2 Mustangs- 1984 & 2005.
I have 4 boys so I've needed a people mover forever.

I currently have:
2022 Kia Telluride AWD SXP Ebony w/black nappa
had them add wrapping to make it like Nightfall
tux mats, ceramic-cheaper version
got it Nov 2021 in dealership

I was wondering if anyone is looking to move to the EV-9 when its here?

Not I said the wolf (wolf gray with terracotta)
I know we are slowly being pulled into electric vehicles but IMHO (and that's all it is), the country is simply not ready for them. Hybrids are great actually but not EVs, unless most all of your driving is relative short-distance commuting - like 40 miles one-way. I would shudder to attempt a long-distance drive in one. Even if you find charging stations, think of the time spent just to charge. If you go off the beaten path, you probably won't find any charging stations. One example would be any of the really scenic roads in Virginia.
Then at some point in the future, you have to buy new batteries. They are mostly made in China and I keep reading how the world is running out of them. And they ain't cheap.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! And congratulations on your Kia Telluride. Both the Toyota Sienna and Mazda CX-9 have a large following - and for good reason. But as you may have noticed, the Telluride does as well... Being an automobile enthusiast, I certainly don't see a problem with loving a car as much as you or I do. :)

I think some Telluride owners will move into the Kia EV9. I think most will stick right where they are. Once the infrastructure can handle massive amounts of people charging electric vehicles, as well as had chargers everywhere, I think we'll find more people moving toward electric vehicles. But, for the time being, I think the comfort zone of most people is with the current internal combustion engines and hybrids...
