  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... We bought a 2020 Telluride used after our Mazda CX 5 was stolen and involved in a murder. Love the Telluride, but it has had some issues. We discovered the high beams didn't work driving late at night in the Santa Fe mountains with no street lights, stars, or moon to light the road. The spare tire hoist got stuck down so my husband removed it so it would drag on the ground. We have had several issues with the driving assist features being blocked by radar, which I am not sure that is what is really happening.

The battery died, and we had it replaced by AAA. When they replaced it, the driver's side window had a 1-inch gap at the top and would only stay closed if you held the button up to close it when you turned off the car. This eventually fixed itself after a few weeks, but OMG, was it annoying! The latest thing is an oil leak that started after the first freeze. I read on here about other people having the same issue. We did have an oil change 4 weeks prior to the oil leak, so I know it wasn't that. I have reported all of this to the NHTSA.

Shortly after we received a letter from KIA recalling our vehicle for the high beams! When we bought it, I got the extended warranty because this was the first year for this vehicle, and I knew that there would be unforeseen issues. I don't regret it one bit because the extended warranty covered the spare tire hoist. I just filed a complaint about the oil leak and hope to get a letter from KIA again, recalling that the issue needs to be fixed. If not, I believe I can get it covered under the extended warranty.

I love how roomy it is, all the USB ports, how comfortable the seats are, the air and heat in the back seats, the third row, and all the cargo space with the seats down. We can fit my mom and the kids and grandkids comfortably in it.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. And I'm glad to hear you're getting the issues resolved and are enjoying the Telliuride. You've come to the right place to discuss this vehicle with people who drive them every day. :) Sorry to hear about that crazy theft situation with the Mazda CX 5. In any event, how do you feel the Telluride compares to it?

The Telluride blows the CX5 away. The road noise in the CX5 drove me crazy! It was cramped; the rubber door trim was always coming off, there was no air or heat in the backseat, the seats were not very comfortable, the latch on the center storage box between the front seats broke, and the computer system with the radio would just shut off and restart in the middle of driving. Oh and we would have to take 2 vehicles a lot of the time because we couldn't fit everyone in it. Eventually, I will trade in this Telluride for a new one as long as they keep improving it.

The Telluride IS a big upgrade over the CX5. I'm confident you'll find Telluride ownership a positive experience...

Is it still a Huge Upgrade? , To me..it is better than a Bentley Bentanyega , ask anyone who rides in middle row.
