• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I replaced the standard windshield mirror with an mirror that has homelink. Unfortunately the 3 buttons are not backlit and putting on the map lights does not illuminate the buttons enough to see them. Anyone have any ideas how i can see the buttons when its dark outside (and inside)?

-Press a small clear plastic bump on the button you want to use most often. You can buy a package of various sized cabinet bumpers from Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart.
I'd put it on the middle one, then you can feel it and move left or right depending upon which one you want to open.

Thanks. I tried putting scotch tape over the buttons and painted a spot over the middle button with fluorencent paint, but unfortunately the paint needs sunlight to energize the light and the mirror is always in the dark, in the garage, so that did not work. I did not want to paint right on the button, so hence the tape. If it worked, I might have painted the button directly.
