If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have found a dealer that told me they will order an SX-P NF at MSRP. I am currently leasing an Alfa Romeo that goes back in June so I would like to take delivery in May if possible. The salesman was unsure if that would even be possible due to supply chain issues, etc. For those of you that have experience with ordering, I would appreciate your input as to what I should expect and/or when I should consider placing an order. Thank you!

Think it probably depends on where you are purchasing from. Some dealers probably have more of an allocation. I just placed an order and it was probably going to be 6 months or so. I didnt really even question the time though. When it shows up it shows up!

Thanks. Im a little more concerned about time given my lease situation.

It's a crapshoot. Unless you're buying off the lot, no one can give you a safe estimate. If you wait awhile to order, and the order will come in after your lease end date, you may be able to extend your lease on a month to month basis.

There are many factors that go in to how long an order will take. As mentioned above, if you decide to order then the primary factor relates to what dealer you order from. You need to determine, on average, how many Tellurides that dealer receives each month for the trim (LX, Ex, EX-Premium, SX, SX-Prestige) and drivetrain (AWD or not) you are interested in. Next, how many orders of that particular model are in front of you at that dealer? From there you can get an idea of how long it may take.

To help you answer those questions, use Failcat and/or speak with the dealer you interested in using. Three ways thread is very helpful in helping understand the various ways of finding a Telluride.

What state and dealers are you looking at using? There is a chance that someone on this forum has experience with that dealer or advice for your state.

As others have said - the dealer you order from is just as important as what you are ordering. Go to a dealer that has a proven track record of monthly allocations and excellent customer service. A good dealership should be able to explain the order volume and allocation process as well as give you specifics on where you are in line. If you are anywhere within a days drive of Dallas TX, I suggest you contact @StephenCantrelle. I ordered my Telluride SXP from him and he gave the best customer service I have ever experienced while buying a car. My delay was impacted by COVID and came at a time before KIA had ramped up production - so my experience was very much outside the norm of what most people are experiencing today. SXP/NFP production has finally stabilized and pretty consistent. That will help dealerships better predict when you should expect delivery.

Should I infer anything concerning the dealer I am working with in North Carolina having no VINs reported on Failcat yet this month. This dealer normally has multiple VINs per day. In fact the dealer organization has two Kia dealerships in NC and neither have any VINs this month.
