• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My pontoon is in 48W x 72L and weighs only 50lbs. Cannot fit inside my tow-equipped '22 Telluride, Though it can be disassembled for hauling to lakes, the required time and effort are a major pain. I'd like to buy or make simplest clever device for hauling the boat on a "rack" which fits into vehicle's 2" receiver. (Like people use for bikes and the stuff). See attached foto. I envision setting it vertically, with pontoons facing forward. I could add a 4'wide plywood "deck" with 2 holes, for the pontoon tips to "nest in" securely. And off course I'll also need to develop means of strap-secure the rig. IDEAS WELCOME. Thanks, in advance!4x6 hard shell pontoon.webp

Why not just get a utility trailer? I've been planning on getting one to haul my fishing kayak or when I want to carry more then 2 kayaks.

Thanks for response. Yes, util trailer will be my only option if I cannot make this work. It's just about clutter. I'd not be popular at home with a trailer stored in the yard. :)

Since the Ponton is only 4x6 and under $ 50, I'm tempted to first explore whether I can come up with a way to carry it in my KIa's tow receiver. - the way my friends carry 2-4 bicycles on a rack-

Still hoping someone may have seen this idea accomplished.
