How to make maps dark vs light?

I have a 25 Telluride and the maps stay white all the time. I have looked through the control menus and can not find a setting for "dark mode". I have seen the maps turn dark randomly, but they always go back to light. Is anyone aware of a way to make them stay in dark mode?

It is in the settings I think under Navigation from memory. Then you can pick white, tan or black.

I looked there, but do not have the option. Maybe it's an issue with the 25 model.

I have a 2025 S. I know you can update it somewhere, I am thinking I hit the settings on the Nav map itself. I know I have mine set to the tan setting and not the white.

I tried that as well. There was no setting for color inside the navigation menu. The strange thing is the maps will go to black sometimes, but not always. I know it has to be possible, but can't find a way to make it dark all the time.
