I’ve been wanting a Telly for a while and have realized they don’t exist on dealer lots (even though every dealer website shows it in their inventory) so I’m strongly considering ordering one. A dealer told me Kia requires your order to have 2 accessories (I guess the nightfall and prestige packages aren’t enough!)…can anyone confirm this? I’ve talk to numerous dealers and this was the first time I’d heard this so not sure if it’s true or that dealer just wants me to add on accessories. Thank you

If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. How to order a Telly - are accessories required?

I have not heard of this. I ordered and was told by may salesperson to not order accessories from the factory because it could delay delivery of an accessory was out of stock. Instead, order the car and when it comes in, they will install anything I wanted a longer as it was available. But who knows if that's the same everywhere, I see more and more crazy things being said by dealers to make people spend even more

Youre welcome. I live in SC and ordered from Fowler( Colorado). Obviously its not close to home, but its was 14k less there. My salesman, Javier has been amazing from start to the almost finish line next week. I knkw some people have still ordered accessories and gotten their car, but I think its done as precautionary so the car build is streamlined. Currently, unless a dealer has stock, the illuminated scuff plates are nationally out of stock. Sounds like your are spot on with your research and expectations, so the rest is a breeze, except the waiting part for the car.

I has been posted in this forum in the past that some dealers require 2 accessories for them to order. Most people have chosen wheel locks and another cheap option. Beats paying 10K+ more for a less optioned vehicle.....

I was able to order my 2022 with the only accessory that I actually wanted (the cargo cover). That's it. I could have ordered it without any accessories. My guess is that it varies by dealer.
