• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My dealer recommended a touchless car wash. I have a power washer and am thinking of getting the car soap to wash the Telly with that. Do you all have any recommendations on using the power washer with and without soap as well as what type of soap to use? Thanks!

I use a 2 wash method
Products and items that I use...
The soap that I use is Mcguire's gold classic it is ph neutral so will not affect any coatings or waxes that have been applied to the vehicle.
I have a cheap foam cannon that I got for 10 bucks online and a electric pressure washer.
One 5gal bucket.
1 microfiber wash mit wit tassels. 😆
I always use microfibre towels to dry it off plus my electric leaf blower to dry out the hard to reach areas.
When the weather permits it I add a light coating of a 100% carnuba wax by Mcguire's .
I don't have to put wax over the whole vehicle since the front complete half of it has the expel clear film protector.

I put in about 1.75 oz of soap.in the foam cannon and another 2 to 3 oz of soap in the bucket.
I slowly fill up the foam cannon with hot water then close it up once it reaches the top and fill up the plastic 5 gallon bucket with above warm water this allows for lots of suds and we all should know that's these little guys are our best friends at that moment.
Then l rinse the vehicle off with just water and pressure washer .
Next I completely saturate the vehicle using the foam cannon and so I let it sit on there until i see the foam thin and rise of with just water .
Next step is to hand wash it all including the the wheels too , I bought this to clean the wheels " Wollywormit Wheel Brush Car Detailing Kit "
Wash off and dry .👍
I use Cerakote wipes on all non black painted trim piece.
Your vehicle may look nice and you think that you don't need to use the wipes but it is also good protection to keep them from fading as well as looking nice and easier to clean once you start using the problem.
The microfiber mit and towels for drying off the vehicle as well as microfibres tomorrow for the interior I get at Wally world as well as the 5 gallon buckets.

I know this can seem a much for a car wash but we definitely want lots of suds and warm soap to help remove any debris from dust to pebbles ,gravel ect to be loosened up so that when we wash off with the pressure washer it comes off.
Plus it also allows the washmit to glide over and prevent scratches from hapoeing when we washing our vehicle.
I do recommend if you use the wipes and make sure that the area you are applying it to is completely dry otherwise it will leave a residue which can be removed but I would rather avoid that extra step 😉

My dad always told me if you don't take care of your stuff it won't take care of you.
