If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hows your build going? The before and after shot!

Just came back from her first trip in the mountains in a ton of snow. She handled it like a champ.

I may be done with the mods but not sure. Added a 2” lift, slightly wider A/T tires (265 vs. 250), window tint, and cross bars. You guys have me thinking ceramic coating up top now and I may do the K&N filter. Stay tuned.
Thanks for sharing your information and photos! You definitely have a nice looking ride for sure! That gives me a great idea of what wife and I’s Telluride is going to look like since we ordered 21’ AWD SX Prestige with Nightfall in Gravity Grey/black Nappa leather interior and a factory tow package install. Ordered in October 2020 and hopefully should be hearing something soon - praying we will get a shot at 22’ since it’s close to that switch over/release timeframe between 21 and 22.

First thing I plan to have scheduled the day of pickup is a third party tint job for the front windows ... probably the same transparency as the back even though Washington State is 35% legal limit. What percentage did you go with on yours? Second thing for me, is installing all weather floor mats. Debating between WeatherTech and Kia’s all-weather rubber floor mats. My issue is the cargo area and seatback protection for the third row and still investigating what to go with. Seems like Kia Canada as a nice rubber Telluride cargo/second row mat that provides third row seatback protection but a bit pricey $300+ from what I see and excluding tax/shipping. It’s hard to find too and only found out about it through this Telluride Forum from another member.

I haven’t decided on the roof crossbars/towers yet. It’s either between Yakima’s high-end aero‘s or a Kia knockoff brand on Amazon that are about half the price as OEM and Yakima on discount - they look identical to one another (OEM/Amazon). Which, Amazon/Kia OEM looks like yours, not sure what you got. We have a Yakima Skybox Carbonite 18 (clean shell - no stickers) and a Yakima Full Swing 4 Bike Rack ... needless to say i am leaning towards the Yakima cross bars to keep the theme. Yakima has really solid products.

I probably won’t get a lift kit and I prefer all-season tires for wear, said to be less road noise, and more comfort driving since we do not experience significant amounts of snow in our area and do not travel in the mountains often in the winter - if at all. I have never had a vehicle with A/T tires. How does it ride with the A/T tires? Is there significant road noise? Is the ride still comfortable?

Anyway, it’s great to hear your ride handled well through the tons of snow in mountain ranges. That is what I am most concerned about for those days/trips through the winter with Kia’s AWD system. We are coming from Subaru which has demonstrated solid AWD capabilities paired with appropriate tires and have not had any troubles driving in snowy/icey/slushy conditions with premium all-season tires with good tread life through the years.

Again your ride looks sharp! Gets me more excited for our delivery!

I went with WeatherTech liners for the floor and the 5 piece Canvasback cargo covers.

I love it! You sound like me as I was waiting for my delivery too. Stay strong because I know it's hard to wait. Like you, I had all my mods planned out for when she arrived.

To answer your questions, I'm not sure of the tint percentage but I did take it to a third party and had them match the rest of the windows. I believe here in Colorado we're at 27%.

Having never heard of TuxMats prior to joining this forum, I gave them a shot and we LOVE them. They fit like a glove and are somewhat more padded than other solutions, which I like. Held the snow and grit perfectly this past weekend.

The cross bars were the last addition and they just came in last week. I have used Thule and Yakima bars and accessories for all my current/previous vehicles so that was my first choice. I had picked out the Thule AeroBlade but discovered that they discontinued the Fit Kit for the Telluride. So after returning the bars back to REI I ordered these cross bars off Amazon for a fraction of the cost and they did everything I asked of them. The SkyBox fit perfectly and was pretty loaded down with skis, poles and duffel bags. I'm going to purchase a KAC K4 Overdrive bike rack (I have a Super 73 S2 eBike that requires a beefier rack) next for the tow hitch.

We too are a Subaru family. My wife has an '18 Ascent that we both absolutely love. It's such a blast to drive and, like the Telluride, handles the snow like a champ as well. While she has some Michelin touring tires on hers, they're both comparable in the cold and snow. Though, at the risk of being kicked out of this Forum ;) I still think the Subaru is slightly more fun to drive, but I'm 1000% in love with my Telly and I'm so happy with my purchase. I wanted A/T's for more backroad/trailhead access this summer for camping trips but haven't noticed any ride difference or noise. I think that depends on the quality tire you get. I have Hankook A/Ts on my '10 Pathfinder that are much noisier than these Toyos. Excited for you guys; I know you will love yours too.

Having fun with my Telly! Lets be different.😉. I think it would be fun to show off the before and now pics of all Tellurides🔥. Here its mine!😍View attachment 15054. I still have lots

Nice mod!
So I recently ordered an SX in GWP and really like the look of the black roof. What steps were taken to blackout the letters, front grille and roof? Paint or wrap? How about the shop’s time and cost?

Hey so i got a few things wrapped. My roof and my side view mirrors and then i got my rims coated black gloss. So it took the shop 2 days to return my car. But he was super busy. So it just depends how busy the shop is that you take it too. And i didn't black out the letters. I see that a lot of Telluride owners keep the lettering. But i decided to de-badge my Telluride, i feel like it gives it a more clean smooth look. And i changed my kia badges to the "K" LOGO.

For the rebadge, is is it just a matter of “peeling off” the letters? Is there a trick to this?

1 day owner :)
Car came with roof rack and cross bars.
Installed running boards, mud guards, weathertech floor mats/trunk liner, and car seat gap fillers.
All parts found on this forum! Thank you all.
Next week: matching tint on front windows....
This looks soooo good!!! thank you for sharing as I am trying to figure out what accessories I want to add

(So i used a heat gun and plastic pry tools)That i purchased from Amazon. But just be careful of how much heat you use on the lettering. If you keep the heat gun to close or too long on one letter the paint from the car might peel of when you try taking off the letters. So just make sure your very careful. But you sure can always use touch up paint.

Love it! What percentage tint did you do? Did you use ceramic? I'm assuming the tint on the windshield doesn't affect the HUD? I just picked mine up this weekend and I'm going to be doing some mods, will post here when done it's going to look sick :)

Hi! I have limo tint all around. So is the darkest it goes. I don't think it should affect the HUD. Is always exciting when you do mods to your vehicle. Cant wait to see what you do to your Telluride🙌
