I didn’t order my SX P with illuminating lighting. My reasoning is that it would be novel for the first time playing with it but eventually you will set it and forget it.

My Telly was part of my dealership's regular allocation and it happened to fit my order exactly, except it came with the lighting package. I went ahead and took it rather than than wait several months. Given the choice, I'd skip it. It's mostly a novelty and unless I'm missing something, since I can't adjust the brightness, it's too bright for my taste.

The ambient lighting is subtle and much more customizable, so I prefer that.

when you spread $450 over the term of your loan/lease does it matter anymore at that point? pennies.

You do notice it is there when turned on. Handy if you drop items on the floor at night, or like to see your plastic water bottle illuminate. Can toggle through about 13 color options or turn it off.

Does not sync with ambient lights in SX, but does have color choices that mostly match. This could also be a bonus if you like two-tone colors at night.

Only front seat footwells, no 2nd or 3rd row foot lighting unfortunately.

I also wasn’t so sure the illuminated lighting would be needed, but I have a really hard time finding things with black interior,,, and why is it that everything happens to be black?,,,, keys, purse, phone, wallet? I’ve even been known to leave grocery’s in the back seat!
