• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I hope I'm not the only one whose done this bone-headed stunt (probably am). Have you ever gone from, say a 35MPH zone to a 45 or 50 MPH zone (for example), and bumped up the + button to increase the cruse control speed. But, instead of looking at the cruise control speed setting, you find yourself looking at the actual speedometer and your trying to get it up to the new speed so you keep bumping up the + button. Then you realize your looking at the wrong thing and by the time you realize the mistake, your cruise setting in on 85MPH LOL! I've done that twice (at least)! D'oh! 😵

I definitely did this on the way home from the dealer! Thankfully, I figured it out on that trip when it wasn't a drastic difference and now I know better.

I haven’t done this, but the steering wheel radio and cruise controls are in the reverse position from my old car, so I’m constantly messing with the wrong thing. I’ve only had it for two weeks, so haven’t broken old habits yet. The windshield wiper controls are on the opposite side as well.

I had a similar thing when I upgraded a camera from a Canon 7D to the 7D MarkII. The directions of the two dials for increasing aperture/ shutter speed were reversed! That took a while to get used to.
