In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Installed AirLift bags

Are you sure you have the right hitch drop? That trailer does not look level, and is probably contributing to the squat. I would really consider a bigger drop on your hitch. At least find a website or something to determine whether it's appropriate.
That doesn’t appear to be a trailer. It’s a hitch mount basket making the rear squat.

Gotcha. I wouldnt be driving long distances like that. Definitely some airbags in their future.

I am having an issue with my system losing air. I took it to a place that does suspension work. They told me the valve was leaking. They replace it with one they use and a hose that is similar to the plumbing shark connector. It worked great, just like when I installed the bags. On my 45 min drive home the air was gone. I called them this morning and I was told the bags were installed upside down. He said the bags should be installed with the connector at the top vs the bottom. I told him when I installed the bags I didn't think there was room above the spring for the connector to come out. He wants to know the name of the bag. Does anyone know if I was right or wrong about the valve not being able to come out at the top of a 2021 Telly?

The installs I’ve seen of the Air Lift 1000 on other trucks the valve is at the top. I think on the install vids too on the Airlift site they install it with the valve on the top too.

I have seen it done from the top and the bottom on 2020 Tellys on this forum. However, when I put the bags in on my 2021 I remember there not being any room above the coil spring. I guess I am going to just get under it again. Not very much fun for an old fat man. :) Thanks!

I just received my Air Lift airbags and reading the literature that came with the kit, I was wondering if any one here has added the wireless control system. The wireless control system would be convenient but a portable compressor would be a lot cheaper. Just curious.

I’m getting mine installed tomorrow by a local shop. I got the helper bags and the WirlessONE compressor. I like the wireless remote so I can air up and down from inside the truck.

Let us know how it works and if you feel it firms up the rear suspension under load.

Getting it back today. Just so everyone knows the manufacture and the off-roading shop that has installed hundreds of these days the air lines have to run through the top if it’s ok the bottom it will cause issues over time if not sooner.

i have the truxxx lift kit and had to drill a small hole through the top to run the lines correctly. I also wanted to make sure the lines where eel covered and hidden so I don’t snag it while overlanding.

So far loving it. I keep a min of 5lbs in the bags without any load and daily driving. I keep the 5th wheel as my spare under the car instead of the donut. Even with that, I get some sag. With the bags, I don’t get the sag anymore from that spare. The rear is stiffer but it’s perfect. I don’t get the sway or roll anymore from the Truxx lift kit. I’m going to try and load it up this weekend, but it being hot on AZ I don’t want to spend too much time outside haha.

The airlines are running from the top instead of the bottom. The wireless compressor is between the frame and spare.

Nice setup! I like the roof rack.

@Alonzo_Tigerhart who makes the pump? Is it hardwired?
He mentioned in the previous post and has a picture of the wireless remote (also works with an app). AirLift is the same company that makes the helper bags. The compressor is the WirelessONE. There are two version one with a Standard duty compressor the other with a Heavy duty and mount.

I like the idea of the factory self leveling shocks; I don’t like the $500 price tag per shock. I’ve had good luck with air bag helper springs on my Super Duty so I figured I’d give them a try on the Telluride. I ordered Air Lift kit part number 60904 off Amazon. $97. So far so good. Will update once we put some miles on it.
I added them to my 2021 Telly for towing a small pop-up camper. They help level out the trailer and add support to the suspension. I carry 35-40 lbs pressure when towing and reduce it to 5-10 when not towing. Work like a charm!

I've been waiting to run that airbag system I've have one on my f350 love it and planned to do the same with this I was just waiting for someone to actually install that model of compressor I got a brand new one in my room right now as my backup I backup which won't be a backup anymore 🤣

As long as this is going to be, believe me when I say this is a long story short. At some point early on I installed Airlift bags on the rear of my telluride. After purchasing and having the dealer install a trailer hitch I had a squeaking noise with my 2021 LX. I use a mobility chair lift to carry my wife's chair. When the chair was on the lift the noise was there. When not on the lift it wasn't there. When I took it back to the dealer the technician showed me that when he stepped on the carrier with the chair on the mouth of the hitch moved to and fro at which time the noise presented. He was shocked saying he had never seen a hitch do that. I stopped at a do it all type shop on my way home and they looked at it and they too were shocked stating the same as the technician. The mechanic there found a leak at the back of the air filler valve and replaced it. I ordered and they later installed a curt trailer hitch which has a tongue weight of 750 lbs. They also installed a Firestone wireless air compressor system. As I drove out of their driveway the squeaking noise was still there. I asked the owner if I could come back and them attempt to find the noise and fix it. He said yes and the mechanic did. Come to find out, the noise was a heat shield that had been bent out of its intended location near where the original trailer hitch had been installed. All is well other than my telluride still sags with 35 lbs in the bags. So, I have ordered a new lift for the chair. It will be at least and hopefully more than 50 lbs lighter. For sure it will be cheaper than buying another vehicle. I was told by an Airlift person that the bags are used properly by filling them prior to putting any additional weight on the vehicle as they are designed to help support the springs while weight it applied. If you apply the weight then fill the bags they won't work well at all. Waiting for the new lift to arrive. Maybe a 4 to 5 week wait. Wish me luck. I may have to go back to a Toyota Tundra and live in it as much as they are. :)
