If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Installed Proximity Door Lock/Unlock Module

ALSO. I left the key fob inside and shut the door.... did NOT autolock the car!
(kinda like you can't lock the car with key fob inside anyway, so it keeps that feature)

All done. All good. It works! (2021 SX Nightfall Edition with tow package)
note to Lith_SXPN: Having never used wire taps before, if you ever revise installation instructions,
please note adding "using the 20-22ga wiretape for the red and grey wires..."
Would be a great addition so we don't just stare at the wiring block thinking "how do I poke a wire in there at #4 and #9??"
(yup, my mind went there... need wire tapping for dummies book)
Noted. But I need to make the installation bit challenging to all the noobs. How else would they learn? ;)

My UVO remote unlock no longer functions after proximity lock. Is this how it should function?

I just did a quick test on this and the app still unlock my doors, BUT the side mirrors did not fold out until I walked closer to the door.

I am 90% sure this is how it works even before installing it., but I could be wrong.

I can check in the morning, as I have not installed it yet.

Correct. I just tried it and i do not have the proximity module installed it. Unlocking through the app does not make the mirrors fold out just from that. They stayed folded in until i walked closer.

I'm one day into using this (what an easy install too) and my lord this is the greatest mod in the world. Not having to juggle keys or the door handle while all my hands are full with kids stuff really increases the value of this car exponentially.

what an easy install too

Was it really easy though?

Wondering if I should do myself or get someone, I will probably end up doing it myself, but still a little anxious I screw something up.

Well I have the accessorides third party remote starter so there was no risk to any factory wiring and I just had to pull the glove box and tap it in.

If you’re comfortable taking panels off and tapping wires then it’s simple. If that sounds scary pay for someone to do it.

These Tap It connectors make it easy (20-22 gauge)... The door seal/rubber easily slides off and slides on. (pull the bottom to just above the hood release lever) a wide flat screw driver works for the plastic frame channel cover. (easy does it, it comes off gently). Used a 7mm socket to pop the hood release lever. and the cowling behind that is a gentle backwards pull.
Follow the product's enclosed installation guide and it works.

UPDATE: figured it out. Check your connections! Haha. Turned out the posi connect on the blue wire didnt quite push through all the way. Once i took it off i noticed i couldnt see much, if any wire, still just plastic blue outside portion. Moved the posi connect a little lower and resecured. All working now!!!! Wont lie, started to freak out a little i messed something up and the wife would kill me!!! Lol

Ok. Need help. Trying doing this myself. Not working correctly. It auto locks after i walk away and locks when mirrors fold in. But wont unlock when i walk up. Mirrors dont fold out upon walking up either anymore. Nothing happens when walking up.

what two lights should be lit up on the board? I have 2 lit up. One labeled can under the dip switches. The other along the very bottom middle. Second from left

i have two press unlock unchecked in settings. What is “welcome” settings enabled? I couldnt find that one??

also, in the obdII connector it says pin 4 black/grey wires. Does that mean the wire is black AND grey or just black or grey? Pin 4 is a solid black color bit there is a black AND grey wire in pin 11.

I solder ALL my connections. Don't trust any POSI connectors personally.

100% agree except when you don't want to mess up a factory harness on a new vehicle.

There is times to cut and solder but IMO this is not one of them.

I agree for the most part. But 1. I dont have those skills or equipment. Hahah. I need to get a cheap one to start though

and 2. I didnt want it to be permanent just yet. Ive waited to install for others to work out some of the quirks, but finally installed it today. Initially all good, but rather wait till long term to see if anything pops up wrong with it after a while. Worried i might need to take it out or something and want that ability without having to then cut wires. Vehicle is still too new for me to want to do that just yet.

Alright, just got both my Accessorides remote start module and my Proximity module installed. I went ahead and piggy-backed the proximity on the Accessorides which made everything much easier and cleaner. Thanks to @rwhite4573 for organizing the group buy for the proximity module, @Tellthemride for the most excellent Accessorides DIY MEGATHREAD, @Lith_SXPN for the proximity module installation guide, and @bogie for the help with piggy-backing the modules.

Below is a picture of the proximity module piggy-backed on the Accessorides module. My Accessorides module is the Compustar module with takeover, just FYI.

Everything is working as expected and the Telluride is all put back together. The wife is uber-happy! The 2020 Telluride should have come this way from the factory.

Stupid question, but is everything plugged back in? Everything you unplugged to get to everything….

Also, check all your connections with whatever method you used to tap into the correct wires? When i installed mine, ir worked walking away/locking, but nothing as i approached. Mirrors didnt unfold and doors didnt unlock. Ended up being the posi-connector wasnt making good contact with wire thru the plastic wire covers.

lastly, double check the wires to ensure u tapped the correct wires…
