• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... iOS 13’s best upgrade is in your car

I know this but the option has not been pushed out to all Android users/devices. Another frustrating thing about this roll out.
I removed my app and reinstalled it and then the update was there.. just a suggestion.

Thanks. So you really have to keep up with the updates of the UVO software. Do you know what mapping software KIA uses? I know someone telling me that their Honda satnav is provided by Garmin

Unlike Tesla, map updates must be done at the dealer I believe. Even though the car has an LTE radio, maps must be manually updated. Unless you live in an area that is constantly updating roads, etc. You should be fine keeping UVO map for a few years I'd say. Plus, you have the convenience of using Waze, Google, Apple Maps for anything new. You will still get the announcements for turn-by-turn, just no HUD info for these.

For those with iPhones and the HUD, from what I read IOS 13 CarPlay supports the dual display with HUD but there are no auto manufacturers that have software updates that support it yet. They probably wait for Apple to release it before they start on their software update.

It's strange that Kia is so different from Hyundai. I did a complete map and infotainment update on my '19 Kona using the car's SD card. Completely free of charge and was easy to do.
