If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Is Prestige Package Worth It?

What is the big thing about capless gas caps... NEVER had an issue with the other models ... real old ones had a long screw...the T-Ride has a nice 1/4 twist pop open... and the gas door stays locked as long as you lock your vehicle... I learned 50 years ago to LOCK all your locks...car, house and lockable containers like boxes and safes when not near them. I was stationed at Ft. Gordon GA and if an MP were to come through the parking lot and find an unlocked cadre car...they were fines $300...same went in the barracks... walk throughs and lock checks on rooms and lockers...$300. There is a purpose for locks.... So back to the subject... how much more time does it take to just unscrew the cap and put it in the slots on the door until done filling.. simple design used for centuries...

Don't get me wrong..I love the tech of my SXP but.... how much more do you really want and need??? Just some things just seem picayune.

YES..... IF you want it to look, feel, and function like a comparable 75K Lincoln Aviator! .....and I did!!!

I've ordered an SX without Prestige, but I've waffled on the decision. The rain-sensing wipers appeals to me most and the heads up display would be nice, but I don't know that any of it is worth the price of the upgrade. I haven't seen a Prestige in person though, so maybe if I did it would have made a difference.

Can someone post pictures or describe the difference in the headliner? Seems like a silly upgrade to me, but maybe I'm missing something.

For wife and myself P package is really nice. Wife loves heads up display, Nappa seat trim. Live in Florida but AWD I feel a good buy. Weather here can rain really heavy quickly. Road gets slick just as fast, plus puddles. Who knows when you may drive north. Fuel economy penalty for AWD eh. 1-2 mpg don't care.

Added towing Pkg just for self leveling also have to figure there is some added cooling capacity for engine and transmission.

It's hard to get a picture that conveys the "reality" of the headliner.........it feels and reacts like a very rich suede when you touch it. As I may have said elsewhere, I have owned many luxury vehicles over the past 52 years and NONE of them had anything like this one. So....when you are sitting in the kappa leather seat and looking at that beautiful headliner, you DO feel like it is a very special vehicle! Perhaps Rolls or Bentley have something like this.....but I have never been THAT far!:D

Some call the SXP headliner material "Mouse Fur". It feels like nothing I have had in a vehicle before... LOL Can "write" in it. As long as you don't find footprints in it...good to go LOL.

I have capless on the Mustang...no big deal breaker for me. A little quicker than turning a cap a quarter turn and attaching it to the door. Bad part is when that flap goes bad in the filler tube neck, it's a costly repair compared to a $5 cap, so it has it's benefits and deficiencies.

Time to look for something besides the Telluride.

As Ned Beatty said in Deliverance, "oh no, not that".

I guess I can get over it.

I am having second thoughts about the P package. Good news is that wife is good either way but really likes the captain's chairs.

$2K is a lot of coin for the only two useful items for us: rain sense and captain's chairs especially considering the S gets captains chairs standard and one can opt for 8 passenger seating in the S for $100.
I'd love to opt or captain's chairs for $100 and skip the P.

C'mon man. That mouse fur is "faux suede" just like Tesla Alcantara. Wouldn't it be great if it matched the seats? Black is a fine, safe choice though. Looks like light seats get a light headliner.

My Genesis has light gray waffle weave like most cars. It's so 20 years ago. Is it grey or gray? America is grAy, England is grEy (bonus FYI for the day).

I'm going back and forth on the P pkg and it's really not the money (anytime someone says "it's not about the money, it's about the money").

In truth, it's about value. As Warren Buffett says "there's a difference between price and value". I'm not sure that the P features are a good value, price notwithstanding.

I I break the rules, I spell it with an“e” in America.

Also, it is duck, duck, grey duck... (look it up if you have no idea what I’m babbling about.

2K without the need for 2K AWD (if not necessary) would be value. If somebody wants AWD, provides value. Somebody that doesn’t need AWD, not so sure. I still like the idea of adding it without AWD as an option. Seat and headliner materials are the only two things that really matter to me. 4K to get them. Hmm...

The SX has Captains Chairs standard. You don't need Prestige if you don't want HUD, rain sensing wipers, the faux suede headliner, slightly better Nappa leather (regular leather is very nice), an inverter. Regular SX can be ordered with AWD or FWD. AWD only for Prestige at this point. Hope that's clear.

S has Captains chairs standard, can be ordered with a Bench option.

EX has real leather Bench standard, but EX Premium swaps for wheels of S and Captains Chairs.

I think you might just want SX.

The Hyundai Palisade offers the top trim with or without all wheel drive. Wish Kia did this!

The SX is the top trim. But, a prestige FWD would be nice. The FWD Limited is still more expensive than FWD SX. I'd take an FWD SX over an FWD Palisade Limited just based on price alone. Unless want digital dash and a power folding third row in place of folding mirrors.

Digital dash and power folding third row would be nice additions.

That’s what drove me to the Telluride. The Palisade Limited had a lot of nice stuff but also some that I didn’t really care about or want, but it wasn’t available on the next lower trim. For my needs the Telluride was packaged better - what I wanted was a few thousand cheaper. SX non prestige was the same price as the SEL with packages, and the Limited was beyond that in price.

So intrigued by what the Genesis GV70 & GV80 will offer in terms of pricing/packages, as well as possible influences it night have on possible adjustments to the Telluride options.
