• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Is Prestige Package Worth It?

Found that interesting...I bought the T-Ride SXP/AWD Tow. The 3rd row was never a deal breaker... I found it faster to just PULL the straps and BOOM...Down. Easy Peasy. Sometimes we want auto over manual and it is slower and easier to break and expensive to repair. Don't get me wrong... I like Tech...to a point. Somethings just seem easier and faster by hand... JMHO
+1 Yes, keep the power fold rear seats but oh how I like the Palisade limited gauge cluster. I like tech like the TFT cluster but prefer not to have unnecessary "so called" luxury like power fold seats. Just more to go wrong.

We need AWD, I live up a 10% grade in the snow belt so we were in for the $2K.

I went back and forth on the P pkg and ultimately went with it. Wife thought it was worth it too.

I look at Warren Buffett's statement on value vs price which is how I decided on the KT in the first place.

I was offered in writing $10,100 off on a 2020 MDX SHAWD Tech at $500 over invoice and an ADDITIONAL $2500 off in Acura incentives.

$52,xxx down to $42,xxx and Acura isn't supposed to be a competitor, that's the role of the Pilot.

I paid $4K MORE for the KT because it's a better value (for me), not a better price.

Nailed it!

I think it is similar for many here. Recognition of the unparalleled value this vehicle provides (in theory). Only time will tell if the maintenance, reliability are high enough to meet my the expectations used in my value establishment.

Will be interesting to see how the reliability ultimately plays out for a vehicle that seems to good to be true in a lot of ways.

For a hint of what we may expect for reliability, look no further than the 2015 Hyundai Genesis with the exact same engine (albeit with 311 hp and 293 lb/ft), transmission, and many of the same features. Some of these 2nd gen Gens have a lot of miles at 5 years old.

Genesis reliability is quite excellent. Resale is a different story but the Hyundai Gen was never the hit the KT is although the Genesis brand has garnered quite a bit of respect and may fare better in the used market than the H Gen does. I bought mine at 3.5 years old and 19K miles for half of MSRP.

My 2015 Genesis (signature/Tech pkg) H Trac has a different AWD system that does not have the diff lock.

The KT has great off road chops and I saw one off road test where it finished a close second to excellent Jeep.

Wrong info on the Palisade AWD edited to correct.

Did you notice the Pal AWD is priced at $1700 while the KT is $2K?

Have a sxp with towing in Louisiana. The awd can come in handy in any state. Just the other day had to park in a wet field at the ballpark. Knew i was getting out without a tow. Why buy less and have to look over your shoulder when the reasonable upgrades will enhance your ownership and resale value. Some manufacturers charge as much as 5k just for awd upgrade. Its a safer bet that if you bought the lower model you would wish you went all the way, versus buying a sxp and wishing you bought less. I bet some that bought less are wanting to sell and upgrade. Could have saved money buying right the first time.

You can NOT lock the differential on Gen or Palisade like you can on the KT.
The AWD Palisade has a lock button just like the Telluride does (see picture). The systems are effectively identical because the cars are basically the same. 5A86D3D2-2FF6-4A5A-B4CD-54B3D3E270DF.webp

We got an SX without Prestige and haven't looked back. I've never had HUD -and actually thought I wouldn't like it that much. I also probably didn't need second row heating/cooling and I thought the regular leather was just fine. I was happy with the black interior and so SX sans Prestige was the best choice for us.

This is the first vehicle I've had with heads up display. Absolutely love it. If it was only the speed then I don't think I would have paid extra just for it. But the fact that it includes blind spot monitoring information makes it an absolute winner in my mind. Now if only we could get Google Maps or Waze navigation turns on it (in addition to the stock navigation, which we really won't use). But heads up display is something that I think should be mandatory at some point as a safety feature.

Our kids (11 and 13) really like having the heated and ventilated seats in the back.

Very much doubt that I'll really use automatic wipers. I'm a bit weird about wiper use.

I said that when I got my last car. It works great when it is misting out or there is road spray coming up.
I bet you convert after some experience.
Truth be told, I don't have a lot of experience with it. I've only really experienced it driving my parents' Lexus. I always end up turning it off. I find that the wiper goes too frequently for my taste. I tend to really wait before having the wiper run.

You can adjust the sensitivity.

I heard pricing is going up!

I'm Not sure It was on blog read somewhere. Along with some new special packages they are offering will most likely have a decent premium cost to them

If you crave luxurious pampering, then the Prestige is worth the extra money. If you prefer average, then save your money. It is as simple as that. No-one can truly convince somebody they should spend another $2k - $4k if they are already in doubt. Value is personal.
