To whom this may concern,
I wanted to write and tell you how disappointed I am with our 2021 Kia Telluride night sky edition. What is supposed to be a luxury vehicle has been nothing but an issue for myself and my wife for the past 7 months of ownership.
First disappointment was the windshield wipers as they were not clearing ice and snow at speeds over 40 km/hr. The wipers would buckle in middle creating a blindsopt/danger on the highway. My wife had to drive to the dealership to purchase upgraded wipers due to our wintery climate. Being this is considered a top end luxury SUV premium/upgraded wipers should have already been included. After speaking with the dealership (sales dept.), the employee we spoke with stated they would reimburse us the cost of the upgraded wipers. That was on Feb 9/21 and no cheque was ever sent to us.
Our next issue was our air conditioning. We brought our vehicle in for analysis on June 11/21 and went without air conditioning until July 5/21 as we had to wait for the part.
Our vehicle is currently in again waiting for a different part as it is too unsafe to drive. It was dropped off July 29/21 to have issues with the dash cluster/Drive/Terrain cluster looked at and it turns out we need a new console switch. We dropped our SUV off because with this switch being faulty it's causing the bright lights to turn on and off without warning, the drive train can not be switched using the center console button and our console is dinging and lighting up like a christmas tree every 5 seconds which causes a major distraction, it's very much unsafe to drive. So now we play the waiting game. First I was told Aug 20/21 for the parts. Now they are back ordered till Sept 2/21. This expected date will be over a month before we get our SUV back.
In the meantime, we are making payments and paying insurance on a brand new vehicle which we can not drive or utilize.
The other frustrating part of this situation is the fact that the nearest Kia is 233 km away to get these issues corrected on top of our regular services. That's a lot of extra time and money out of our day to bring our brand new luxury SUV into the shop. So far the quality of the SUV we was supposed to be buying is definitely not living up to the hype.
Deeply disappointed
