In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... After much soul-searching, I decided to upgrade to the SX from the EX. My original order was for an EX in Dark Moss/ Black Leather with AWD, Tow, NightFall and Premium package. I just successfully changed my order to the SX with AWD, Tow, and Nightfall (no Prestige package) and changed the interior to Butterscotch. The price will be about $3000 higher. It would have been only $1500 more had I not decided to add Nighfall - I debated on the Nightfall package, but decided to go for it just because I really like the look of it. I opted out of the Prestige package because the options it offers, while nice, are not worth $2300 to me. Also only getting the Carpeted mats as an additional option. I'll probably get some of the other stuff later after I've had the car for a while. For that extra $1500 I give up really nothing and add (compared to EX with Premium and Nighfall):

  • Reverse Tilt-Down Outside Mirrors
  • Door Handles, Body Color and Satin Chrome
  • Dual Sunroofs
  • High Beam Assist (HBA)
  • Front Fog Lights, LED
  • Harman Kardon® 10-Speaker Premium Audio w/ Clari-Fi™, External Amplifier & Subwoofer
  • Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM)
  • Parking Distance Warning - Forward (PDW-F)
  • Surround View Monitor (SVM)
  • Supervision Meter Cluster w/ 7-inch Thin Film Transistor (TFT) Color LCD Display
  • Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror w/ HomeLink®
  • 12-Way Power-Adjustable Driver's Seat, w/ 2-Way Power Lumbar Support (Compared to 8-way power seat - not a big deal)
  • Driver's Seat Integrated Memory System (IMS)
  • Stainless-Steel Pedals

Nice, its best to make sure you are happy when spending this kind of money. The only thing I might have done in your shoes is to get the prestige package and just do a blackout theme on my own when the budget allows. That way you can have both. But I think the SX additions you will be more than happy with. Cheers!

That thought crossed my mind, but as our kids are grown and we will only be using the additional seats occasionally, so heated and ventilated back seats are not really needed. The other prestige options are, for me, nice to haves but nothing on that list I can't live without.

Not gonna lie, i only really wanted it for the HUD. Have always wanted that feature.

$2,300 for the HUD, rainsensing wipers, household plug, Nappa Leather and the premium headliner are features that really set the Prestige apart from the competition.

I have a HUD and rainsensing wipers in my car - and now having them - I wouldn't want to buy a car without either.

Yeah - when you compare features from EX Premium to SX - it isn't much of a stretch to justify the change. The SX in my opinion offers the best value for your money in the Telluride line. I went with the Prestige package - because I had to have the HUD and everything else LOL. But given the choice between EX and SX - I think you made the right choice.

Nice, I do genuinely feel the package itself is an absolute steal for $2300. This vehicle far surpasses anything I have owned technology/luxury wise.

It's still $3,000 less for the EX-P. It's a slippery slope. Oh, it's only another 3k. Well, if I'm going to spend that extra 3k, why not spend another 2300 for prestige?

Sometimes you just have to stop yourself. I'm getting the same car as the SX-P owner for 5k less. The S buyer is getting an even better value. Less toys but the same vehicle.

Love the HUD!!
