Pretty excited to share I was able to place an order today for a Telluride with the Nightfall and Prestige package. Not excited to have to wait the 10 months I was told it would take to arrive.

10 months!? I think you need to find a different dealership. One with higher monthly sales/allocations.

Those dealers with high allocations that sell at msrp may not exist that much anymore thanks to forums like this. Our dealer had over 45 orders with paid deposits back in February! Can't imagine the list now. Its pure craziness and a great problem for KIA to have.

I think the key is finding a middle of the road dealership - not TOO much volume, and not TOO little.

That will be the sweet spot.

With the high volume guys now - forget about it...10 months sounds resonable.
With low volume - maybe KIA won't give them many SX-Ps

But the mid-range...if production increases like it should, then the middle of the pack guys could be the right approach.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Well! It sounds like you'll be getting a Telluride well worth waiting for. What will the Telluride be replacing for you? I'm glad you found us...

If you're on the fence about putting in a refundable deposit now I'd say do it if the dealer is reasonable and transparent with you about their process. You're literally sitting in quick sand right now waiting for things to get better. Who knows but maybe KIA will really meet demand this fall and catchup with production.
We waited last fall to see if prices would come down and incentives would get better but to no avail. Put in our order like 4mo after initial test drive and its only gotten worse out there since. Truly rare experience buying our first new car but I do believe it'll be worth it. A lot of great info here for you not to make an informed decision ya know

Holy cow. That's where I'm getting mine. I ordered in Feb and mine is slated to come in the next two weeks. 10 months is crazy. I'd expect that kind of wait in GF or Mandan because they get so many less allocations but not Fargo.
