Hi everyone! I’m new here and have a question. I ordered my 22 telluride 4/26 and spoke with the dealership a few days ago for any updates. They said my order is currently being constructed but they have no ETA or updates. My question is when Kia picks up an order, does the dealership get an ETA right away?

This question has been answered multiple times on this forum. The search tool is a great feature of this forum. To answer you question, Yes, an initial ETA is generated within a couple of days of KFOS closing. You will get a better response if you if you say something like "Hey, I tried searching the forum but couldn't find an answer to ........".

Regarding the ETA. The dealer does get an initial ETA, but there are a lot of changes to the ETA due to transport shortages.
If you go to the Telluride Tracking section of this site once you get your VIN Stephen will be happy to give you updates on ETA if you ask him.
Just be sure to ask in that thread as he monitors that daily.

Hello and welcome.
You are only given a vin once KFOS (Kia Factory Ordering System) picks up your order from KDealer (Kia Dealer Order placement system).
Once your order is picked up in KFOS in their monthly allotment (about middle of every month) the dealer be able to get a vin # to you.
Depending on the wait times at your dealer this could be anywhere from a few months to a year or more.
