  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I am going in to order a Telluride tomorrow and the dealer asked me to apply for financing on Kia.com ahead of coming in to save time as I asked to be relatively quick. Will this trigger a hard inquiry? The reason I ask is I will be factory ordering the car and it will definitely take longer than the 30 days the pre-approval is good for from Kia. So I assume it would require ANOTHER inquiry once the car arrives to get the loan approved. Am I misunderstanding this? I really don't want the extra hard inquiry for no reason.

Note: I know I have excellent credit and shouldn't have any issue getting their best rates.

Thanks!

Yes it most likely will be. They could do a soft pull, but I doubt they do. They shouldn't need to do a pull to order the car... I had a dealer ask the same thing when I discussed ordering. Maybe show them a few credit reporting apps for your score and credit accounts for DTI?

Hard inquires really don't mean much unless your credit is less than great. I have 40~ hard inquiries and never have trouble getting approved for anything.

Did they extend the financing rebate of $1500?

It was good until April 30th...
