• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Which trim has the built in navigation. I’m considering S trim but not quite clear if it has navigation. Thanks

Not sure about S, but EX has built in navigation.

Ok thanks for clarifying. Feature wise, I don’t see the big need to go for EX over S spending 3000$. But again without navigation, we need connect to CarPlay, auto for maps which is not convenient.

This guy bought the S trim and does a lot of comprehensive reviews about the vehicle including oil change. I may have glossed over but I don't see him talking about the navigation as a standard feature available in his Telluride S.

I don’t use the Nav in mine or my wife’s Car. We both just use our iPhones. Frankly the nav in the phone is far superior. I also use an Apple Watch so the watch is vibrating and making a sound for me to turn also, maybe that’s why I like it better. I would just car play it and call it good.

Thanks for the valuable feedback.

Mine is a old car and I usually mount the iPhone and use google maps. It has navigation too but it isn’t that great
and never used it.

I thought navigation is better and useful in new cars. But based on feedback here, it is not necessarily so.

Now only other major difference I see between LX and S is power adjustable driver seat (which I can adjust once manually once on LX and forget about it) and heated seats ( which is very important ) but for extra $2500 🤔

I should put the caveat that I don’t have a telluride however we do have a Acadia Denali with an aftermarket in dash updated Garmin system. I still prefer the iPhone.

You also get 20” wheels and captains seats for the second row vs 18” and a bench seat (all though bench seat is optional). The S also heated front seats and a power sunroof.

I need 8 seater so bench seat is preferred.
But yes heated front seats are a must and that’s some thing to think over.

The S does not have it built in.....but connecting through your phone does allow you to mirror it to screen through Android Auto.

You can download maps for any area to use offline with google maps. That way, if you don't have phone service, you can still use your maps because you can pretty much always get a GPS signal if you aren't in a tunnel or somthing. That's how a car navigation system works too, they just have maps for the entire country pre-downloaded. If you're going somewhere you might not have service, just download the map before you go.
