• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi - I was at the dealership last time and after my oil change, the advisor said there is a front axle leak - he didnt document anything or give me anything in writing but said that this should be covered under 60K warranty and that I would need to drop the car off for the day.

I am doing that tomorrow, I believe I read on reddit and the forums here that is some sort of front cv axle grease leak, I suspect it is the same. If anyone has any insight I would appreciate what to tell them if I don't see the same advisor as initially he was saying various warranty coverage mile limit - but then towards checkout he said it would be under warranty as long as before 60K miles. I am basically at 59K miles, so wanted to get it taken care of but want to make sure I do some homework on my own based on what I've been searching here to make sure I say the right things so they ensure its in warranty coverage.

This is 2022 Kia Telluride SX Prestige.

Separately, I noticed the black trim on the windows is fading which is very odd, they basically said it's normal and the guy was like it won't be in warranty - though i've read mixed responses here on same issue.

Thanks

It is covered under the 10yr 100k warranty. It is considered part of the powertrain warranty. I had mine replaced already on the passenger side.

This would be very troubling if it were me, & would be brought up to his manager..

As an FYI to anyone reading this: ALWAYS, always get any legitimate complaint you have IN WRITING. This enters the issue into the system. Get a copy on your way out.
It's the "Three C's"; Complaint, Cause, Correction.

If there's an issue past a warranty cutoff however, you've complained about it while still inside the warranty period, you have a leg to stand on.

Furthermore should you need to go "Lemon Law" (varies in every state) you have documentation about multiple complaints of a particular issue.

Report back about the "Fix" please.

I had a previous camera issue, where the dealership made several attempts to fix under Kia. Then I went back to get the camera fixed again well out of the warranty period. The dealership found the problem and even got Kia to cover the repair. The repair with a discounted labor rate would have cost me $3800 plus tax. My dealership has been fantastic. With the front axle and oil filter housing also failing, they replaced them under warranty with no hassles.
