• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Lots of talk on the forum lately of whether or not there are major issues with the Telluride, such as transmission issues.

Looking to put some numbers behind this.

I know it will be a mix of mileages and period of time owned.

We have a black on black sx with 21k miles and it's 18mos old. Love the car but the windshield cracked a few weeks ago and at the same time had an issue the direct injection that was fixed by a software update. Both repairs done under warranty in a day. I came from a Landrover so theses issues are a walk in the park for us. Still very happy with the vehicle.

it will not work. For example, I am dissatisfied with the quality and customer service, but I have a vibration, but it does not bother me. Someone is outraged that the windshield is cracking from stones, so this is normal for me, this is not an armored car. Normal wear and tear during operation.

You are overthinking this.

Valid point. There are prospective buyers on this forum (sometimes trolls) who interpret a single post or two complaining about a relatively rare problem and assume it applies to all Tellurides ever made. They sometimes go on to say “I won’t ever buy a Telluride because they have all these issues and Kia needs to do a recall for all their Tellurides now!” This is more of a reality check for them to see if most owners are happy or not. It is safe to assume you wouldn’t vote for the first two options if you experienced a major car issue that is not repairable or the dealer refuses to help solve.

12k miles in 8 months and no issues to report on the manufacturing side other than the TSB on the 360 cameras for our build date. (Was a pita to schedule bc unknowingly trying to have it repaired during KIA's hack recently resulting in limited work being completed by dealers at the time.)
Have had a nail in a tire and chipped windshield but these are expected if you actually use your vehicle. (Windshield may be a little prone to chips, have noticed a few smaller ones on it too which is irregular to past vehicles I've owned.) Front end paint appears to be holding up well for a lot of highway driving through construction zones as well.
No vibrations at any speed, AWD has worked flawlessly, transmission is solid and smooth. So far very pleased with the purchase. Avg 21-22mpg mixed driving. '21 SX AWD
Would highly recommend this vehicle at this point. 👍

What is the direct injection issue?

I voted option B. After almost 10 months and close to 20,000 miles, I have had no real issues, but a couple minor nits. First, I wish the seals at the bottom of the doors and the rear cargo area were better. Dirt gets in there all the time and it's a chore to keep those areas clean. Also, there is a design flaw in the automatic window design. Many times, if you are at speed, and you try to roll up a front window, the window will roll up, then immediately pop back down about an inch. This issue has been discussed at length here.

The car drives great with no (so far) issues with the engine or transmission (knock on wood). All on-board systems seem to work as intended (knock on more wood). I'm very happy with the fuel efficiency (disclosure - I stay in ECO mode 99% of the time).

If I had it to do over, would I buy this car? Yes, in a heartbeat!
