Kia Telluride problems

So i got a KIA TELLURIDE EX model just last week and the weather info has not been working on the infotainment screen i am bakersfield CA I took it back to the dealership and they called KIA.
KIA said that my city apparently does not have coverage for the weather app to work and it will work if you are in a bigger city anybody else have that issue yet?

Burlington, Vermont don't seem to have weather coverage either.

Another thing i dont understand why would KIA add the feature if its not available everywhere tbh

I am on Long Island and it keeps giving me weather from Bridgeport CT. I listened to the HD stations to see if it would sync up, but no go. It does sync up, just not where I am.

I'm in between two cities with HD radio data. The traffic and weather data that shows up for me is the traffic and weather for the city where the radio station that I am listening to is located, but only if it is an HD station to begin with. The traffic and weather doesn't follow the car, it follows the station playing in the car. I don't know how long it takes to change as you move from one area to another but that is how it seems to work here.

This link was posted in a different thread saying it's just the IHEARTRADIO stations that include the traffic and weather. For my area those happen to be the stations we listen to. Maybe check the listing for your state and see if there are any stations you can pick up on it and try them for a while to see if that's the fix? Well, I would love to know but until then, that part of the screen is now being used to hold my phone/GPS. There’s not a good place to mount my cell phone so it worked out perfect for me

Because lots of people can use it?

It sucks that you want to but can't, but 100% coverage in a country as big and sparse as ours is an odd barrier to have to cross to release a feature.

I'm still awaiting my Telluride, and this will be my first car with Apple CarPlay. I've used it briefly in rental cars, and know that you can get traffic with several different apps from my phone, though do all apps from your phone display, i.e. a weather app, or only certain supported apps?

Is anybody having issues with Apple CarPlay??? Soooo when I connect my phone in my SX via usb (Apple CarPlay) and use google maps or Waze I can’t play music on YouTube music or Apple Music it turns off if I open another switch between apps. Is there a way to play music from my phone and have waze or maps on the same time?
And sometimes while my phone is connected via Apple car play playing music it disconnects by it self a lot please share some info ????

Anybody have an issue with an error message that pops up on the radio saying “
Valet alert “ out of the parking area .The dealer says they think it’s something that’s paired with my Apple iPhone however I have taken the car without my iPhone and I get the same error message at least three times within a 5 mile trip

The out of the parking area is a setting in your KIA APP. I had the same issue. Go to "my car zone" in the app and turn off the Valet alerts. Mine was already off so I turned it on and then off again and it fixed that and I haven't seen that message since.
