• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Leading Vehicle Departure Warning

Mine works as described.

I DON'T step on the brakes when using this feature....the SCC will do a complete FULL STOP for you.
Once the vehicle ahead of you leaves, you'll get a warning to step on the gas pedal or the cruise control buttons (RES+ or SET -) to re-engage/resume driving.

Same.

I think it even gives an icon with a gas pedal in the display.

Sorry I corrected my comment. My manual mentions auto hold but not in conjunction with leading vehicle departure function.

Right. They're two completely different things, but work well in conjunction with each other. Earlier I mentioned that my Sonata has this feature, and I called it "Smart Stop". After looking at the button yesterday, I stand corrected, as it is actually "Auto Hold", just as with the Telluride. Works great in at drive through restaurants, stop lights, etc.

I'd like to get to the bottom of this feature. I have a 2022 SX. I have the leading vehicle departure warning checked on on my panel. It does not work and I have yet to find a Telly owner who says theirs works. The feature should alert, for example, when stopped at a light or drive thru and the car in front of you moves forward. Not once has this function worked on my car. My Subaru Forester had this same feature that worked flawlessly. I'm told that this feature works great on the Sorrento. Can someone with definitive knowledge comment on this? Please! My local Kia dealer is puzzled by it as well but they havent had many Tellurides in their stock since the Telluride came out.
My Kia dealer told me it works, but takes so long, on the Telly, its useless. You will have been honked at, by the people behind you, several times before it makes you aware.

I don’t agree.

Works perfectly fine for me.

Most dealers know less than half of the members here.

I have to laugh because I just got anTelly and my previous car had zero smart assist features. I accidentally hit the Auto Hold and started using it by mistake. Then read the manual because I noticed it was on and the Telly wasn’t operating the way I was used to a vehicle operating. Foot off the break and it will roll forward. Anyways now I choose to use it…Works great!

Hello I have a 2022 SX and I have the same issue. I have reset the setting, looks everywhere for support and I I cannot find anything. I called my dealership as well and they told me that it may take up to 15 seconds for it to trigger the warning. I have not tested this as by 5 seconds the guy behind me kindly notifies me to get going.
