Lift gate won’t open or lock on the latch.

Today I replaced the reverse light. After I was done I put everything back. So when I went to close the lift gate I had to do it manually. Does anyone know what’s the best way to fix this problem?

Ok so have you tried to raise with with the button on the FOB? I’m assuming you have auto lift gate; maybe the vehicle dropped power since you had it open doing the bulbs?

Yes I did. Its weird because because it opens up. But doesn’t close. And it doesn’t close on the latch.

Owners manual has procedure to reset the power lift gate. Maybe try that?

Maybe the power close button by the handle is being depressed? Or it wasn’t plugged in securely if you removed the harness to install the bulbs?

Yes I did. My hands were to big. I couldn’t fit them. So I had to remove the whole piece to get to the bulbs.

It did feel depressed when I put everything back together.
