• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... List the thing(s) that annoy you about your Telluride

UVO - remote start never works. Car outside, car inside. Unless I send the command 5 minutes in advance, it isn’t happening.

just to be clear - I’m not a remote start kind of person. So it not working the one or two times I consider using it is extra irritating.

UVO service used to be that slow for me about a year ago. Now it’s about 30 seconds from the time I press the strat button on the app.

Compared to CarLink/Accesorides which only takes 3 seconds to start after i press the button on the app.

- Rear wipers are too slow for my liking
- Animation/indicator for torque split not accurate. It would be nice if it shows the wheels independently
- Rain sensing wipers are touchy/iffy
- UVO service can be improved

I'm pretty sure there are more, but I'll start with those for now...

  1. Rear climate control button in the front slow to open on the screen. Would have been a smarter move to use that button to momentarily turn the front climate controls into rear controls.
  2. Wish side mirrors were auto dimming.
  3. Wish the OEM interior lighting kit extended to the 2nd row footwell and were synchronized with the ambient lights automatically
  4. Wish there were a lower volume setting for the LKA warning beep. Lower than the lowest setting without turning the sound completely off.
  5. Wish the ISG system was more robust and activates more than it currently does. Even after charging the battery to full.

I have very little annoyances, but I will list them nonetheless:

1. Just wish the rear could be balanced with quad exhaust tips. I know why they can’t be, but I just think it would look so much better.

2. I wish that it had walk away locks instead of having to press the door handle or use the key fob to lock the doors.

3. I wish that KIA would build these with screens inside the front lower end to avoid potentially having a rock puncture the AC coil. I know some have mitigated this by using screens on the outside, but it would look much cleaner to have them inserted behind the facia and not in front of it.

Aside from that, I am truly enjoying this vehicle and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for an SUV in its class.

Auto Start Stop - Basically on every SUV so cannot complain. Just a little nuisance that I have to press the button every time I start the vehicle.

Having to press the button on the door handle instead of the car just unlocking by putting my hand inside the handle.

I know first world problems. I love everything else about the Telluride after owning it for 4 months. I have never had heads up display or 360 camera parking view on a car, so that has been awesome. Love ventilated seats in Texas. Blind spot view camera is awesome, but I wonder if it is a bad idea to stop turning to look at your blind spot to make sure no one is there. Maybe the blind spot view camera is teaching me bad habits. Wolf Gray SXP AWD Nightfall gets insane amount of compliments in Texas where we live with a sea of Ford Explorers and Expeditions (literally see 5-10 Expeditions/Explorers on the way to the grocery store every time).

Having the seat belts bang around whenever a rear occupant doesn't latch them back is getting to be a small annoyance.

Auto start stop - My BMW has a little button that permanently disables it until I activate it. It's the only setting that doesn't need to be activated every time, and it may be my favorite thing about it.

I find the Cruise CANCEL button and the Phone REDIAL a button are too close to the steering wheel and I have hit them both several times by mistake. It would have been so easy to make these the same size as the ones above and provide a bit more clearance. Maybe it’s just a matter of getting used to them but…. Easy fix if Kia had given this any consideration.

But phone call and end buttons are on the opposite side of the steering wheel from cruise controls?

The buttons I hit by mistake are the large Phone dial button (which dials the last number called), and the Cruise Cancel button. Separate issues. They are just too close to the rim of the steering wheel, and easy to hit by mistake.

Never once had an accidental button press on this vehicle in 15K miles of driving…

Gotcha. I misread. I have also accidentally hit the steering switches while making sharp turns around town. I almost want to say that the car electronics know to momentarily stop button functionality until you have completed the steering wheel rotation. Because I’ve never had the car accidentally dial or change radio stations when I hit the buttons mid-turn.

I initially found the seats a bit too firm, but I guess my butt is getting used to them. They are considerably harder than my previous (Ford) vehicle. I also miss having the soft touch comb8nation lock/unlock buttons that Ford installs on most of their vehicles. i always found the combination locking device very handy - when you don’t have the key in your pocket, you can still get into, or lock the vehicle.

My F150 had a combo that despite having a value other than 0 or 1 in it would unlock if you just pushed 0 over and over again… was not impressed with that, but agree, that keypad was awesome when I wanted to workout and lock the keys in the car.

UVO will lock keys in the car… hit or miss if it will unlock the vehicle in a timely manner or on the first try…

This is really strange and probably a bug but... if I do not hit my keyfob unlock button 2 times prior to getting in and starting the Telluride my middle speedometer screen never turns on and stays black. I talked to KIA about it and they told me to bring the car in because they have never heard of this issue.

I've done it about 10 times in 17k. It's always the phone button, haven't hit the cruise cancel on the other side.

The tuning dial on the far right of all the controls is a stretch for me (though I appreciate that the Telluride is wider than my previous car).

I wish it had power steering wheel adjustment and memory.

I wish the 360 degree camera view button were located in a spot I could press without having to look down for it first.

Speaking of the camera, I wish the rear was one you could view without going into reverse. When you hit the camera button you can see all the other views except that one.
