Looking for a Telluride at MSRP

Thanks for the info. I’m about 5 hours away. What was your wait time. I put a deposit down back in June for MSRP and was told 8-10 months from Hart Kia in Salem, VA.
I placed my deposit the third week of April and Chris called me Monday and said its heading into production. Should have it in several weeks. His initial estimate in April was 6-8 months so I'm on the low side. I think the production has ramped up recently

Fort Bend Kia told me yesterday that I could order a 2023 Telluride at MSRP and get it in about a year. I'm too old to wait that long.

See if you can find a 2022 Telluride on a lot somewhere, or just buy a different vehicle. There are plenty of decent three-row SUVs that would probably serve you just fine, even if they're not your top choice. The 2023 Palisades are out already, by the way.

Buying a car a year down the road is not the same thing as buying a car "now." All the value/utility (in the economic sense) that you would derive from owning the vehicle for the next year would be lost, forever. If you don't have something for a year, you can't make it up later. That stretch of your life can't be repeated.

Agree. At this point, I would want a 2023 Palisade.

Heck, by then they say the EV9 will be out. I have my eye on that, and with my 22 SX trade in it could cost me not much. But the Palisade are easier to get and just as good. I dont like how they look though.

How it works with dealers. I did Ft Bend. You have to put down $500. Then you can either get in line for whatever comes in and when your turn comes up they call and you decide if you want that model/color/accessories. Or. You go to Kia BUILD site, make your car and FWD it to the dealer who will send it to Atlanta. The line is shorter, but why not get exactly what you want the other way. It took me 7 months, but I got exactly what I wanted. Also at MSRP, I am a year in and Carmax will still give me a lot more than I paid for it. And keep in mind for most any midsize SUV Carmax is hungry for them and will give top dollar. They gave me $7K more for my 2017 Explorer than any dealer offered. But through Carmax rather than trade, you have to pay the dealer that $3k tax.

Fort Bend told me to bugger off. Must live in Houston area.

So far no one will pre-order the 2023. Last call the markup was 12%. I'm just not willing to pay more than MSRP and it this point i may have to go with the VW Atlas where i can get it at dealer cost plus $500 off. Sad dealers are doing this

Kia of Muncie will take order for 23 model for MSRP. 10 months to year on del. You could have it transported to your house or fly / drive to dealer. Good luck

One dealer i just spoke to said 12-20 months! No thanks. I contacted 10 dealerships around me in the Boston area. They ALL are charging over MSRP. SAD! I guess I may go with the Atlas. I tried Kia

I'm interested in buying a Telluride but will not pay over MSRP. Are all dealers trying to cash in with the so called market adjustment? I will not pay over MSRP. I've always paid under MSRP for every car i purchased. I live in the Boston,MA area. Anyone in the area purchase a Telluride at MSRP?
Call Derrick @601-529-5420 for information on locating a Kia Telluride @MSRP.

Palisade is just as good, I just do not like the looks, so chrome-e. Like a 58 Buick. :)

A full year is bad enough, and far beyond anything I would personally accept, but how can they be offering a possible 20-month delivery timetable? By that time (end of April 2024), the 2024 Tellurides will be approaching the end of their cycle, and people will be wondering about when they can start ordering the 2025 models! What exactly do they claim that you would be ordering from them?

Did they charge you over MSRP?
Kia Muncie will do MSRP pricing . On ordered tellurides . 500 deposit. Ask for Lucas he will handle all your concerns place order . I’m going to fly to IN. Lucas said they will pick me up or del vehicle to airport . I live in DE I’m 680 miles door to door . Transporter pricing was $600 to 1000 to flat bed to my house .

To answer your question about going into a new model year .......Muncie Kia ( Lucas ) told me if your order is still a few months away from 22 model year deadline, your place in line will then have the option for a 2023 model . If options and colors are added or discontinued they will go over that with you before new build date. My wife's lease is not up till August 23. I have nothing but time on my hands and two other vehicles ....................... I'll wait
