Hello!
I've been researching the Telluride for a few months, and this past weekend I decided to finally test drive one. I live in southwest Florida and found a local dealer selling the S model for ~$34k, which is under MSRP. When I arrived at the dealership, the mark up consisting of a $3k market adjustment and over $3k more in BS charges that brought the actual price above $40,000. I didn't even bother starting any type of negotiation. First of all, how can they advertise this false price?
Secondly, is there any way to go about finding one of these vehicles for near/below MSRP besides waiting? I am perfectly fine waiting because my car is functional. All the local dealers are all marking up tremendously, and that's before their hidden fees. I've checked Costco and the closest dealer with an S model is in Texas. If anyone had any luck obtaining a Telluride in my general location or has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, I'm going to check out Mazda or VW.
Thanks!
