  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Looking for an SX

Hello All fellow Telluride owners. this is my first post and I felt it should be about the topic of price.
I purchased a moss green SX last week with the following add on's

SX Dune Brown Leather Seats
Towing Package
- Tow Hitch
- Self-Leveling Rear Suspension
Cross Bars
Carpeted Floor Mats
Wheel Locks

I paid roughly $10 market adjustment. But the way we (the dealer and I) worked it out was that I traded in my 2009 Tahoe for $10k and financed the MSRP. I don't feel I was taken advantage of, nor do I have super funds just laying around. I definitely did my research on many vehicles in this range and class. I also understand the limited supply on this trim. That being said I understand that other scenarios and deals can be better to many, but I got the car I want. I in my heart of hearts feel that this vehicle is "a keeper" and will return value and content as I own it. If my payments would have been bases on more than the MSRP, then I would be having a different conversation with you all. But we have the hottest SUV out! Why are we talking as if that has no weight or bearing on supply and demand or value? Anyway, I know speaking on a forum opens me up to ridicule and persecution, but I got (so far) the best car I've ever had.

Have a good day all.

If you're happy, that's all that matters. Dealer made out like a bandit, but that's okay. All negotiations start and end somewhere... some parties come out ahead, sometimes they are mutually beneficial. What matters is that you're enjoying the vehicle.

I live in NYC and was having the same problem of $4-$5k over MSRP. I finally found a dealer 2 hours out of the city that sells at MRSP. Don't pay over, you can find dealers that are legit and not looking to screw you over. There are also dealers on these site that helped me find incoming inventory which was super helpful.
If you don’t mind, what dealer did you get it for at MSRP? I’m in NY/NJ metro area. Thanks
