If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Luggage rack

Can anyone confirm IF I order after market Sorento Bars, will they Fit securely? I've seen some say yes and some say NO.

Getting ready for a 17 hr drive to Colorado and dont have time to be wrong. The Kia are over priced IMO.

Can the factory rails be adjusted forward and backward or are they set to one spot?
The factory crossbars can be adjusted as they do extend some but the rear one is slightly shorter so there is a range. The manual suggests 31.5”, but I had to install mine at 21” apart in order in order to mount my luggage carrier.

Can you please share the measurement in between the rails? Thanks.
The inside lip between the rails at the front is 45”. At the rear in front of the shark fin antenna the inside lip between the rails is 41.5”. Hope that helps.

Unfortunately they do not. Confirmed with the dealer. The only bars I have found to date are the Kia OEM ones. Thule, Yakima, Rhino Rack and Inno Rack are alll working on fits but none have them listed yet. I emailed all of them to check.

Just an update for anyone interested, I just got an email from Thule customer support. I emailed inquiring about the availability of the Evo cross bar system for the Telluride. The customer service rep said they are shooting for October 19 as a release date.

No, I got the Thule Mounts for the Kia Sorento. They're linked in my previous post. They don't fit.

Pictures wouldn't show the fit issues. They're miniscule, but clear enough that they won't support a 100lb load at highway speeds. The clamps just aren't the right contours. I can almost pull them off by hand when full tightened.
Were you ever able to figure out a way to make the Thule bars fit on the Tele?

Hi Everyone,
I found these on Amazon that say they fit the 2020 Telluride but I am skeptical. They also say they fit the 2019 Telluride which doesn't exist as far as I know. Any thoughts as to whether these will fit?

Okay for other member's reference. Here is my 2 cents/experience. Use the information as you like.

We couldn't wait until the fall for the Thule fit kit specific to the Telly. Thule or dealerships were not helpful.

Not knowing what to get and seeing different information out there. I cast a set of my roof rails (left and right in a 2 section polymer clay mold) and compared to everything new and used my local dealer had on the lot. I can say the rail profile on my Canadian Telluride EX is very-very-very close to the 2019 Sedona. Closest match up here north of the boarder. The profile was nothing like the 2016-2019 Sorrento. Our dealer has a pretty extensive lineup of models and years. It was close enough for me to try me luck, knowing I had the tools and abilities to mod the mounts if need be.

I understand the rack makers need to fully test and confirm everything before it is released, and Thule will only warranty and guarantee the rack/everything bolted it if is the correct vehicle FitKit.... But the rail profile difference IMO is pretty minor(almost exact, just change enough to be altered).

We need to mount stuff to the roof this summer and no way were we going with the OEM. Not a practical option for us.

We ordered the Thule 2019 Sedona Rack Package from RackAttack. 777$ CDN out the door taxes and shipping. Arrived in 2 days. Thule 460R Rapid Podium Feet, Thule Podium Fit Kit 4057, Thule Wingbar Evo 135 (53in), Thule 544 4-pack lock cores.
It pretty much fits like a glove. No modifications needed. I was expecting some kind of mod needed.

The rack is TIGHT. I've had it up and down multiple times checking. Works for us for the summer. We'll be getting the proper fit kit when it comes out; at this point, just because. I can report back, but I'd say so far it fits like a glove.
For now we've test fit the kayaks with J hooks and Hullavator, and currently have a Thule 624 up there.

This is our experience, take it for what it is hopefully helpful free advice. Use it as you see fit.

can you post a pic?

Couldn’t wait for Kia dealers & aftermarket in Toronto, Canada to stock the cross bars, so I found one OEM on eBay for US$410 including shipping & import duties.

Could you give an update after your summer trip? How are the Thule crossbars holding up? I'm tired of waiting for them to get the exact feet. Thank you

I nixed buying a telluride becasue the rails don't have gaps to attach a decent cross bar. From the picture and description the Kia cross bars looks like flimsy junk. I had similar lousy cross bars on my Chevy Trailblazer. I really like the telluride, but carrying anything on the roof looks to be dangerous.

Fair enough - you need a vehicle that meets your needs. But I'm not sure that the Telluride can't be modified to meet your roof-carrying needs.

See this photo... Unique Telluride

Also there are videos of it with a better roof rack (like in the pic above) than the optional roof rails you speak of.
