• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... It's very hard to see but the center hump on the 2nd row floor has some lump under the carpet. My weather mat won't lie flat on it which is how I noticed it. Is there something under the carpet area? I'm afraid people might step on it and damage whatever is making the lump under there.

Has it been this way since you picked it up at the dealership? Or did it show up after you had the Telluride for a while?

I have just 1000 miles on it but I never noticed it not being completely flat until I tried putting in the weather mat for the 2nd row. It didn't' sit right so I thought I left something underneath the weather mat and that's when I can feel the lump. I'll probably put a service call in but I wanted to see if anyone else might have run across this.

It's very hard to see it but the darkened area that i've circled is there it's sort of raised. I'm trying to see if that's how the captain's chairs get their ventilation via some sort of tubing under there.

May want to have the doctor take a look at it to see if it is malignant.

So no one has a lump under their center hump in the 2nd row?

Just went out to check. Looks like having the bump is normal, I also have in my Telly. I don’t feel any wires. It’s almost like a slipper or envelope. The rectangular area (red) between the seats are convex. Then it gets to a certain point behind the seat were it feels concave (blue), or bends below the foot rest “sea level”.

I’ve been using the third row with people walking over that hump for the last two years. No issues to report yet. I have the Weathertech 3rd row floor matt over it if that makes any difference.

Thanks for checking but it's the area right in front of that. The 2nd row floor right underneath the center console rear cup holder. I should have added better pictures

Confirmed looking at the other tellurides on the show room floor that there should not be a lump there. While not as flat and solid as I thought it should be on the other cars it's still much flatter that would allow weather mats to lie flat. My biggest worry is that it looks like a pain to remove the carpeting just to take a look at the issue. I'm scared it's going to mess up other things even worse.

Well looks like it was easier than expected but service said there was a foam pack left inside the carpet interior. Interesting indeed.

I have just noticed it in my telluride 2024. Super odd.
