• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello, I am new to the Tellluride family as we are awaiting delivery of our 2021 Nightfall edition vehicle hopefully landing this week in Edmonton Alberta Canada.
I'm reaching out for all the knowledge and experience on this forum to have opinions on a couple tire and rim options available to us to have ready on the vehicles arrival. We are from a small town and purchasing our rims and tire options locally and travelling to the city to exchange tire and rims at dealership so I'm hoping to gather opinions from personal experience and more expert knowledge than me.
Our rim that has been delivered to us is a Niche Staccato 9" rim with a +38 Offset. Option for tire size recommended for us are 285/35 R22 but it limits our tread and or brand options. Going to a 285/40 R22 series gives us many more options but increases tire diameter from a 29.9" to a 31" which I would assume is getting on the high side for rubbing which we'd like to avoid. Also planning on truxx 2" lift kit for appearance but wondering if this gives me any more space horizontally in the fender well to accommodate if anything on the tires. The 285 series is recommended as per rim width because of 9" rim and keeping the tire squarer on the rim compared to a 265 series which they said will most likely crown. A look we don't want.
Everything for info and advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
