• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... More Competition on the way!

IMO after owning a dodge minivan and experiencing the low quality and reliability ....I won’t buy anything dodge, jeep, etc......however I do like a lot of their styling on the vehicles....

Not really a Telluride competitor but just bought this Genesis GV70 for the Spouse. Wow what a fantastic SUV. 3.5L 375 hp Twin Turbo, 0-60 4.9 sec. Anyone doubting that the Koreans are building great cars has not been paying attention.

Consumer Reports: 96 Score for the Telluride (#2). Lincoln beat it, but it cost up to 100K.Telluride beat all the others by a long shot.

I think the Genesis is more competition than the Nissan. I've had a Nissan, never again. The Genesis is not much more than a Telluride, and compared to a similar Lexus, its a deal.

No model can reign supreme year after year (OK, with the exception of some Toyotas). Sooner or later, the competition comes up with something as good or better. I have no doubts Kia is working on the next generation Telluride, to one up themselves.

If my wife sees a GV70, that will be it.

Yes but you will get to drive it....its a blast

Probably costs more but very nice looking. The 2022 Infiniti QX60. Wonder how big the third row is, that’s my main reason to get the Telly.

I see Consumer Reports rate the Telluride as number 1 SUV.

The brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland is the only direct competitor in my opinion.

From what I've read the Telluride is a better value vs the GCL in the under 50k trims of the GCL, otherwise the upper trims (Overland and Summit) of the GCL are competing more directly with luxury brands like the Lincoln Aviator, Audi Q7 etc. and match up well to them particularly with the V8 performance. Pity the V8 is a gas guzzler though! We were really leaning toward the Telluride before this Jeep came out but only if we get it in one of the higher trims. Have to test drive and see it in person. I think the V6 is slightly under powered compared to the Telluride but the 5.7L V8 although not great on gas would be a stronger engine than the Telluride's V6 3.8L. Never owned a Jeep, always concerned mainly about build quality/reliability. I think the Grand Cherokee models as a whole are reasonable reliable. I think this new 3-row Jeep looks great particularly on the inside on the upper trims. The off-road capability with the available air suspension would be a nice bonus too. Looking forward to checking it out. I was hoping the 2022 Telluride would have released a couple of new exterior colors for the 2022 model, but nothing really different on the higher trims except the new badging. The Telluride still looks awesome though and it's amazing how the demand is still so high for it to this day! Well done Kia!

I think this will compete more with the Acura MDX. They have a similar silhouette and given it's design the third row won't be for full size adults. It's a luxury version of the new Pathfinder from Nissan! The Telluride would be a lot more spacious vehicle overall.

That ugly thing is 52 big ones vs the SX's 42 big ones. No thanks.

The Telluride is not a luxury performance SUV and as good as it is it doesn't offer the level of luxury materials, power or performance that 60K plus luxury vehicles typically have.

Key word here is typically.

Many reviewers have stated that the interior of the Telluride SXP is about on par with the likes of the MDX and XT6, even more so for the Palisade Calligraphy.
