• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Moss and butterscotch?

Those are inbound units. They don't have to order those. So you can get Butterscotch, they just don't want to order it.
Thank you for the insight, I’ll try to bring this up tomorrow morning and see if I can get them to cooperate. If you have any suggestions on how to approach them, I’m all ears. Greatly appreciate your help.

You are guaranteed a vehicle it looks like however if you want Butterscotch they just need to order it. If happy with black not much to really do or say.

I truly like both but at this point I’m a little more partial to the butterscotch, despite not seeing it in person. Another question, and this may pertain more to the original post (sorry, didn’t mean to hijack the thread) but what is the typical lead time you’re currently seeing once an order has been placed? And do you think going the butterscotch route changes that time at all?

It will probably take longer to get Butterscotch and I can't speak for whom you ordered with. However..... If the color is what you really want, ask for it. If you don't care roll with the black.

Tried to order ebony black SX with butterscotch and was told they weren’t accepting butterscotch orders at the moment. I may be better off with black anyways because of the kids but had my heart set on butterscotch. Not sure if it’s true but can’t really see why they’d lie about that of all things.

We have grands and a teen, so I thought about the same thing. I have OCD about keeping them cleaned and conditioned.

Considering your dealer wasn't truthful with you in the first place about ordering, if you really want the butterscotch, go to a different dealer. I am also thinking your kids like the color because it is called "Butterscotch". If it was called "beige", it would probably be a different story!

You’re probably right but it’s not my kids that want that, it’s me. They don’t even know I’ve been looking at a new car.

As for another dealer, they’ve been pretty good to deal with, excluding this issue, and they were the only one that I could find that offers msrp. They were upfront about that before I told them any trim or color combo that I wanted. They offered every other leather for the SX without prestige. Black, gray, and espresso...and I’d really like espresso if they had black accents with the dash and steering wheel but I couldn’t get past all that brown.

Black with Butterscotch SX is best combo ever... I get so many compliments, almost got grey because I was scared of the Butterscotch but I’m glad I changed.

Glad to hear that, I agree. My dealer was able to switch my order to butterscotch after originally having “issues”. That was my first choice for combo even I though I struggled between black and the moss a lot but feel it’s a bit too “trendy” for me and there’s something about black...until it’s dirty I suppose but not my first black car so I’m prepared.

Now, I play the waiting game and hope the vehicle comes in a reasonable time and as ordered. Enjoy your ride, can’t wait to get mine!

I have the moss green with butterscotch and I'm a huge fan, even though I didn't get the prestige package, I'm still happy with my choice.
That's what we're ordering - moss with butterscotch. Do you have any pics you can share?

I might not be ready to buy right this moment. When I am ready I would like an SX AWD Prestige package in dark moss with a butterscotch interior. Seems hard to find. True? Do you have to order this configuration? Is ordering something dealers will do? If you order does that mean zero discount from the MSRP?
