Murray kia order to delivery time

My car got impounded because they didn't register the car for 5 weeks and that was questionable to the police. They reimbursed the impound fee only if I took down the bad review. They never admitted fault and acted like they registered the car weeks ago. They only registered the car after I bitched them out.
I don't understand how this is even possible. Didn't they give you a temporary registration sticker (that is good for 3 months) and put it on your back windshield? That's what they gave me.

My permanent registration document showed up in the mail about two weeks later. I was happy for that because then I could take that sticker with their ugly logo out of my back window.

Looks like the bad news continues. I don’t understand why they don’t get it. People remember and bad news always travels around.

Customer ill will doesn't matter unless there is an oversupply of the desired vehicle. When there is an undersupply, buyers have no power to exclude bad dealers from the market, and therefore little ability to influence their behavior meaningfully. A seller is a seller when there is a shortage.

I am hugely disappointed that Kia does nothing to curb the larcenous behavior of Raceway and the other dealers with outrageous sales policies.

For many years, I dealt with the same Volvo dealer, purchasing and leasing several cars. I had - and still have - a great relationship with the sales team there; they never tried to up-sell me, and always treated me as a valuable customer. The pricing was always good and even now, in this crazy environment, most folks will still pay under MSRP with some rare exceptions for hot sellers like the XC-40. Even that model gets sold at MSRP though. I would not hesitate to return for a Volvo, and may in fact do that when they come out with the electric XC-90.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Telluride, and actually rate it as very close in comfort and quality to Volvo. In some ways, the Telluride is superior (the electronic interface on Volvo's is not particularly user friendly). I will never buy another Kia however, unless they start direct to consumer sales and get rid of their existing dealer network.

That Kia chooses to allow many (it now looks like most) of their dealers to add "market adjustments" that are often more than 20% over MSRP tells me that they don't care about having long-term customers. That's regrettable because their newer cars are really first rate and I'm sure many of us would consider the EV-9 as a Telluride replacement, if we did not have to deal with a place like Raceway or the other bilious dealers that Kia allows to operate unchecked.

Auto makers are hobbled by both franchise agreements with their dealers and, in some states, pro-dealer restrictive statutes as well. It's not as easy as saying, "All our dealers are dumped as of tomorrow!"

I had a 60 day temp tag and registration. However NY Police don't like paper plates as it is used by criminals to avoid cameras, commit crimes etc.. The police couldn't see the temp license in the system and the car wasn't registered/in pending registration for over 5 weeks so they impounded the car. They only registered the car after I had emailed and bitched them out. They admitted no fault and Cory the Sales Manager is the biggest sleaze bag ever. He said since the plates came the day after I bitched them out it must have been submitted at least 7 days ago(which I call bullshit on because you can get registration and plates same day in NY). They also kept saying you saved $16,000 by not buying a Telluride in NY. I never even brought that up and they kept saying that to think they had done me a favor. Avoid this dealership at all costs!

I ended up paying a 3k markup on a Telly at Sansone Kia and am way more pleased with my purchase here than my MSRP purchase at Raceway Kia. Mandatory 5.8% financing rates at Raceway KIA vs 3.9% financing rates at Sansone. So in the end it kind of evened out.

Having them make you purchase GAP in order to get a better bank rate is called tied selling. I would report that to the PA General Attorney asap!

Anyways my experience has been pretty bad with them. Got a 6% interest rate with them even with 800+ credit. Even at msrp this place is not worth it!
I contacted the lender, and confirmed that they do not give lower rates as incentive to purchase optional gap.

I’m going to wait until this is resolved, then post a true review of the dealership and my experience.

So today my temp tags expire and still no word from the dealer. YES I called I asked and got the we are waiting run around, and oh by the way we have some people waiting since April. Once again the bs starts and this place is a never ending story of abusing the public and just not giving a scrap who they offend. 60 day tags now expired.

Magically the tags came in on expiration day and sending overnight to me. So glad the saga is finally ending and I can give this dealer a forever wave goodbye you will never see me again or my friends or people who ask me where did I get my telluride and would you by there again.

I'm debating even returning for the complimentary oil changes/inspections for the first two years. It was such a poor experience and I don't even want to give them business at no cost to myself. I removed all decals and threw out everything possible that mentioned the dealership which will not be named.

So I got my Telluride yesterday at MSRP but like others said, contingent on financing. At least the financing has no penalty for early payoff. It took a bit of time to get everything in order (close to 3 hours) but it finally happened and I got it. Waited almost a damn year for this car but they kept their word on getting me another one.

Good to see someone sticking it to them by refinancing.

So i have been waiting since December. Sx prestige, towing package everlasting silver. Finally reached someone a week or so ago.

They said order hadn't been picked up yet. I was like 20th at the time of the sale. Thw receptionist thought my order had arrived, but the rep said it wasn't mine. Could it have been and they sold it?

Did they lose allocation during the sale? Any idea how much longer.

What is the dealer code to watch Fallcat. I dont trust this process.

Any clue about 2023 launch?

There's no real idea of how long you'll be waiting. They're trying to move away from pre-orders, and frankly I'm surprised to hear Raceway Kia of Conshohocken honoring yours considering the amount of crap we had to deal with. They claimed that the business model Murray was running was doomed to fail and that it was a gigantic mess for the new management team to clean up. Depending on your build, it may just be taking longer (more microchips, special color combos, etc which is what we were told in November).

They may be selling them as they are on the lot, and people are still paying $60k+ for them. If you don't have a paper trailing going, best to put one together and figure it out. I have no idea what number we were in line, no one ever gave me an idea either when I asked. They did not lose any allocation during the sale from what I understand. If they can't give you a VIN, there's no point in using failcat. Your best bet is to hammer them with a phone call a few times a week. We were told 6-10 months when we ordered on 11/24/21, and we got the car on 6/29/22. And if you see one on failcat that matches your build, call them immediately and each day until you get an answer (dealer code PA106 Telluride Lookup ).

Be very careful with their finance people, they will help but also seem to do tied selling which is quite illegal- still haven't seen my refund for GAP that I specifically said we did not need at the time of paperwork but I'll wait one more billing cycle.

Look up the recent delivery for Raceway (PA106) on Failcat and see if you see any builds that match yours. If so, StephenCantrelle should be able to tell you if your name was attached to that VIN.

I ordered 12/6. Mine was delivered 6/28. It just depends on what Kia pulls. There is no real number in line. It’s all what Kia wants to build.

So I did file a complaint with the AG.

When we were in the office, the person doing the financing (Alex) said GAP was part of the PDR/Tire & Wheel package. Not sure why he would say that, because of course I would read it. I specifically said that we did not need it in front of him and my wife before we left. Anyway, I called back and told Raceway I didn’t want nor need it, and that I ready the terms and conditions and GAP was not part of that. Alex called me back and then said that GAP was part of securing a preferred rate with Capital One.

Well he dwaddled for a few days, then told me he couldn’t do that and I had to come in or he could mail it. I said mail it- he never did.
I called Capital One and asked if they have a promotional rate with Raceway Kia of Conshohocken, or if they have preferred/promotional rates for applicants who sign for GAP at any dealership. They confirmed they did not have any promotions with Raceway nor do they require GAP to offer a preferred rate.

So I called Alex back, telling him nothing came in the mail. He acknowledged that he hadn’t sent it yet and asked me when I could come in. He could speed through DocuSign on a tablet but not send a single form through the service.
Anyway, I said I’d be there the following week but the whole damn house got Covid.
After that, I call him on 7/27 to let him know I’m going there to sign GAP removal and to have the paperwork ready. He did, it was a single form. I took my copy, went on my way knowing it would be credited back to the loan and not a check sent to us (was fine with it). I figured we wouldn’t see it in the August statement since he said as much. Figured it would definitely post in July as that’s 30+ days. Still not there.

I call back a few weeks ago, asked service about the ‘free oil changes’ (ps they do use full synthetic), then asked them to forward me to accounting regarding a separate issue.
Speak to Elizabeth, I explained everything from above. She’s gonna call me back because she needs to pull the paperwork, etc. She called me back 9/20 to tell me the signed form to remove GAP is not in the file and doesn’t know where it could be.
I said no problem, I can get our copy that I took home. We send that over, and crickets until today when I sent a follow up- email returns as undelivered. I immediately write out my complaint to the PA AG.
I did speak to another person on the accounting team, allegedly they cleaned house (again?) and that’s why my issue was not resolved. She acknowledged it’s been a bumpy few months but they’re hoping for smooth road ahead.
The point is, it seems like they don’t care but especially tried to stick it to me for complaining and writing accurate summaries to Google and the AG’s office. I’m going to write another very accurate review.

When I bought my car recently, there was no gap insurance mentioned. I also had to go through capital one auto at 6.5% which is stupid. The going rate at the time was 3.5%-4% which I got separately approved for at my bank.

I wanted to outright buy the car but they made me finance half of it. I plan to just pay it off before Christmas. They were saying that if I pay it off sooner, the title might get lost because it takes a while to get the title in order. They said it has to goto capital one first, then the dealer after I pay it off, then it comes to me. Never heard of this because I always got it mailed to me directly from the finance institution but it’s whatever. They can have 3 months of interest if I don’t have to deal with any more hiccups.

If I am not mistaken, the point of gap insurance is to cover the difference between what is owed vs what the car is worth when totaled. If people got it at msrp, even if you drove off the lot, it would be worth more so the point of gap insurance for this car is moot even if you put zero down. But maybe I am wrong about gap ins. Never signed up for it.
