• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I LOVE my 22 telluride S. Very happy with the Syntex interior. Love everything about it.

The only complaint is that the middle row seatbelt receptacles are so recessed that the kids have a hard time bucking them from a booster seat. That’s my only complaint.

And I need to figure out how to change the wiper blades when that time comes, since the hood blocks the wipers from being fully pulled away from the windshield.

Wiper service mode. When you turn the car off, hold the wiper stalk up for several seconds and the wipers will deploy.

Could try wedging a cut piece of foam (ie pool noodle) under the buckle to prop it higher. Or leave the belt always in the buckle position and have the kid slither underneath it. Two solutions I have seen.

I haven't used them myself yet, but someone on another Telluride group recommended these for the buckle issue:

Also, some folks recommended switching to a Chicco kidfit booster b/c of the way it fits in the seat & has less overlap with the buckle.

You could get seat belt extenders. There are lots of choices on E-Bay & Amazon, in many diff lengths......... some compatible w/ Telly, some not. I've got little 3" ones on the front seats that work great. They get the connection up where you can get at it, and defeat that annoying beeping if you choose to not connect the belt. I can't find the specific brand I got......sorry. But I just checked mine, and they fit the back seats as well EXCEPT for the center !! The center looks to have a wider slot. Some of these brands show dimensions of the locking tab, so you can prob find what you'd need somewhere. .......Good luck ........!!

This is THE WORST part of my Telluride. Car seat independence is such a luxury for a parent... and now I'm back there struggling to buckle up my oldest.

Thanks for the suggestions above, I'll give them a shot.

Okay, fixed it, thanks to your suggestions!

The silicone sleeves that go around the receptacle prop it out of its recessed position just enough that the kids are more independent. I bought these rather than using some pool noodle due to wanting to avoid debris flaking off. Also, the black color blends pretty well.

Thanks so much!

This is all it took (see photo).

Only. You initial post has 2 complaints. ;)

We used a seatbelt extender so our kid could reach it with a booster seat. Otherwise the seat blocked it.
