  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Figured I'd start with a catchy title. Ha! :ROFLMAO: First time Kia Telluride owner here, so we'll see how she does! 🤞So far, I've had good luck with foreign cars.

Previous cars I've owned:
  1. Suzuki Grand Vitara XL-7 - Black: (210k+ miles when I sold it. I STILL see the new owner driving around town over 10 years later.)
  2. Suzuki Kizashi SLS - Onyx Black: (Over 130K when it unfortunately got totaled from a negligent driver in a Rav 4). It was in beautiful shape for a 10+ year old car. A part of me died when it was totaled. 😭
  3. Ford Flex Limited - Black: Bought this car used as a temp car for 3 years until I could save up for a newer car. Great features and roomy. But terrible engine design. Water pump is INSIDE of the engine! 'Nuff said! 🤦‍♂️
  4. 2025 Kia Telluride SX/X-Line - Panthera Metal: Not a black car as per usual, but PRETTY CLOSE. Looks amazing at night IMHO and sparkles in the sun during the day. I'm holding high hopes for this manufacturer. My previous Suzuki engines were made in Japan and those things lasted forever. Hoping Korean engines hold up as well.
It's been a little over a month since I've had it (new) and I've already discovered the "sticky brakes" issue when the rotors rust after it rains (which is normal) but due to the e-brake "auto-engaging" when you turn the car off, it causes further oxidation and cause the brakes to "stick" if you're stationary in Drive. Car won't roll like it should in Drive as a result. You need to "unstick" them by pressing the gas. Workaround is holding e-brake button while turning the car off so they won't lock. Annoying on a brand new car...

Anyway, glad to meet you all. I will attach a pic of the new vehicle once I get my red brake calipers installed.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. Congratulations on your new Kia Telluride! How do you like it compared to the Ford Flex? I've always liked that vehicle, especially in Limited form... Sorry to hear about the Suzuki Kizashi. I always found that to be an unusually luxurious car coming from Suzuki.
