• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I just spoke to the KIA navigation solutions support group (888-757-0010) and inquired about when the next software update will be available. The rep told me it should be available in mid-December. I asked what the new version number will be, and he said probably V19. Before I was able to speak to a human, the touch-tone system said the latest version of software was V18 released in Sept. I could not find that version online. The touch-tone system also said the next release would be in mid-December as V18.5. So who knows what it will be. We will see!

Thanks for getting some info on next update, I look regularly for updates.

About a week ago, my nav displayed a notice that the next update would contain an update to the rear camera, and that I should not drive the vehicle while the update is installed. First time I ever recall getting a "pre warning" so to speak. I figured that meant one would be arriving OTA shortly...

I had that same message. Today it says: "There are ongoing updates. Preparing to install the Infotainment System Software." The message says that if the vehicle is turned off, the update will continue at the next vehicle start-up. Software Version: ON_PE.USA.55W_M.V014.010.250818

I'm guessing it will finish up over the next couple of days while driving. I usually get a message when the install has completed.

I have a 2025 S and the OTA update came this morning and when I hit details it said it would update the maps and would take about 20 minutes.

I will also say i have Kia Access subscription and I think that is part of that to let them update OTA.

My 2024 finally installed the update this afternoon. When I started the car it asked if I wanted to start now or later and warned me that it would take about 20 minutes and that I wouldn't have any audio or backup camera during the update. I had about a 20 minute drive across town so I clicked ok to start it. The screen went blank and the radio turned off. After a minute or so the screen started up and the radio came back on for a minute. It then turned off and a screen came up with a message: "Updating... The update will continue even if the vehicle is turned off. During the update all features, including the rear camera and audio, are restricted." Other than the navigation screen, everything else worked including the heads-up display. After 17 minutes the radio came back on and then the system rebooted. I was surprised that right at 20 minutes, everything came back to full functionality. Everything seems to be working fine, but I don't see any of the changes yet. It also indicates the map has been updated, but I didn't see anything different from before.

The only difference I've noticed so far, and maybe I'm imagining it, was that I thought before when I put a device on a wireless charger it would put the little icon to indicate charging or charged for a few seconds on the top of the screen and then disappear. Now it appears to stay the entire time by phone is on the pad.
I haven't tested yet to see if they restored the ability to have different volume levels for the different input types, but darn I miss when that used to work...

Map updated a few roads that were new in our area and it added the traffic lights I think on the display, which i find annoying. Not sure what else it updated but had to turn down the speaking nav volume again because we have too many traffic cameras where I live and it's a lot sometimes
