Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Depends on dealer size/allocation.
a few people around that date are in the mid-Feb to mid-March range, myself included.

I'm trying to find a link right now to the production spreadsheet that "they" indicate is on this forum. Haven't found it yet. "Supposedly, " we have our VIN and supposedly it is in dealer inventory (left the factory/plant) but it has been in dealer inventory for some amount of time (KIA Consumer Affairs). I understand they get shipped to KC and are transported out of there but geez, how long does that take? Weeks and weeks and Weeks? Anybody dealt with KIA Consumer Affairs?

Okay they only show 2 which are both in thier Dealer stock(at the dealer) two Black EX AWD. So still waiting for now for order to fill. Thanks for checking for me. That's what I was afraid of. Back to the waiting game.

There was probably another vehicle like what you ordered from your dealer. Look in recent VINs (i.e. December). If it's not there, then it hasn't been produced. What VIN did your dealer give you? It would need to be in the 60000+ range on last 5 digits. Dealer might have given you a VIN to keep you happy. If you ordered in August, then a Feb-March delivery is reasonable.
You also need to specify which dealership you ordered from - this will determine whether it's a high volume dealer.
Go back to your dealership and ask them to look up your order in KDealer. Ask them for delivery date if there is one. Keep pestering them... ask for order ID etc. There are a bunch of posts / threads that explain the process.
Thank you for your reply. Our request ID # IA006-190819J001, that is "our order" I believe (--regarding your comment about order). Edwards KIA out of Council Bluffs, IA. So we have confirmed that.
VIN 5XY5DHC9LG64025 given to us (confirmed by Kia Consumer Affairs [also have a case # with them] if that means something.)
We are deep into the list on the spreadsheet. We have a printed window sticker "from the dealer", sent to finance institution for financing purposes (if that means anything). We had a delivery date of December 23/24.....come and gone. Don't believe that they gave us a VIN to keep us happy. They have the car "listed as in their inventory" on their website and according to KIA Consumer Affairs, once it has left the factory/plant it becomes the property of the dealer (in their inventory). So it has been "in their inventory" for some amount of time. I cannot tell you exactly how long--enough to get 89 or more views and eight max of those maybe mine. We're wondering how long does it take after you get a VIN to have your car delivered?
But then on 18th of December, the sales associate called and gave me some mumbo jumbo about sometimes they order a similar car .... and dah dah. And I asked: but is that our VIN number that is on the window sticker ? and he confirmed that it is.
So are we anxiously awaiting? Yes. And maybe the February/March timeframe is real but I find that hard to believe that a vehicles that has left the factory and moved into dealer's inventory is now going to take til February or March to be delivered since the KC storage lot is only a 3 or 4 hour drive from Council Bluffs. So if there is any more insight, we will appreciative. Thank you so much.
I am sure their are brighter minds than mine that can make sense of this.
I would drive to the sealer and look at the VINs in their inventory. 2-4 weeks it seems to get to the dealer after VIN made. Look at the spreadsheet, find VIN and date associated with said VIN. Add 5 weeks (holidays) and if today is before that date, be a little more patient.

Yes , chill out a bit. Vin 64025 was just produced at end of November 11/27 - see right of page. Has to be transported from GA to IA. That can take a few weeks. Holidays probably delayed. Your dealer is provided with the best information in the online system - but delivery dates aren't exact - kind of like when the USPS delivers a package... (Your package is in our system scheduled to be delivered at some point in the near future.)
