• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Never Thought I'd Buy a KIA

Lovely! I've had my Dark Moss SX NF for almost 2 months now and feel the same way. Never thought I'd be buying a Kia, but here we are.

Same for me never looked at kia until stinger then Telluride came out. Went with Telluride

I agree, we are a Ford family, we have access to the "A" plan and have bought or leased Ford's or Lincolns forever. I hadn't ever considered a Kia or Hyundai until my BIL mentioned the Telly. My wife's Lincoln is leased and expires in March and we were going to either buy another, or possibly get an Explorer. When my BIL mentioned the Telly I started doing some research, and we decided to go look at a Pallisade and a Telly, the dealerships were about a half mile away from each other. This was back around May or June 2020, we took out the Pally for a drive, it was nice, but we couldn't get past the front end, and I didn't like the "dial" tranny. They probably had 5/6 on the lot but the dealership was quiet. We then decided to look at the Telly, not really thinking it would be any better. We got there, and there were only 2 Tellys, one that was all prepped for delivery, and 1 (I think it was an S) that we could drive. There were a LOT of people looking at them, and when we came back from the test drive, we were informed it was sold, WOW!! We went back home, and I really started researching the Telly, including finding this forum, which led me to Kia of Muncie and Lucas Boehm. I called and talked to him in early July, and after a few calls and emails we sent him a deposit and ordered ours, which should be here the middle of January. What a ride!! Thanks to everyone on this forum for all your advice and wisdom

I was never a Kia fan till the Telluride. Hats off to Kia for grabbing my attention

I too was in the never a KIA camp. After I researched new vehicles and inspected many other brands my wife liked the KIA best. I wanted the Explorer ST for obvious reasons but we were getting something to replace her Subaru Outback so we bought a Telluride. Waited 5 months and paid MSRP.

I still can’t appreciate the KIA front and back emblems and would change them but it’s her vehicle and she doesn’t want any changes. The only thing I might do is get her winter tires but being retired we really don’t have to go anywhere when the weather is bad enough to really need them.

I never really noticed Kia as a manufacturer at all, except for the Souls I saw on the road which I thought were dorky looking (apologies Soul lovers!). I've been buying Hondas for 20+ years. But wanted to upgrade and the Pilot was blah, the Atlas was blah....Then came across the Telly on Consumer Reports, then read reviews, then watched videos, then looked at one on a lot, then test drove, then purchased that week. Absolutely loving this car.

Same here. My lease on my Toyota Sienna runs out in April and I was looking at either a Tahoe (I really wanted it) or Yukon, but I just happen to stumble upon the Telly and had to go test drive it since it sounded too good to be true! I test drove both the Telly and Palisade and even though I loved the digital dash in the Palisade, I couldn’t get over the front end of it!!!! The Telly is the complete package...it looks great, very comfortable, roomy, and it drives well. I now sit patiently and watch everyone enjoy their Telly’s until my order comes in! I can’t wait!

Agree about the Palisade front end....*Shiver* When are you expecting your Telly?

Lol, it’s hideous!
So that’s a good question....I placed my order in October and Kia still hasn’t picked up my order. I’m going to call my dealer on Monday to see if it was picked up this month. If not, I may have to order with another dealer to ensure I get my ride by April! They have a low allocation of Telly’s, so I’m trying to be patient, since I’m first in line but, I can only wait for so long

I get that. Really hard to be patient. Hope you get it soon.

It definitely is hard to be patient, but I have until April, so I’m good!

Our local Ford/Lincoln dealer is great, one of the Sales managers is a friend of mine, and he will not be happy when we return her Lincoln lease and drive off in a Telly. The only part of buying it is knowing that the great service and getting taken care of by just making a phone call will no longer be the case. They have treated us great and can not say enough good things about them. I pray that we are not making a mistake by going with a kia and not knowing anyone at any kia dealerships in our area, we are buying from Kia of Muncie. I guess we're like many people, just roll the dice

Tough call for sure
