If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... New Bronco Unveiling tonight

It’s an off-roader and the Telluride is a family hauler. Pretty much a different animal altogether.

So sure, completely different class of vehicle...but....DAMN! That freaking Bronco is sweet looking (not so much the Bronco Sport IMO). I literally just bought my Telluride not even a month ago, but I’m already lining the Bronco up as my next car in 10 years, lol. I honestly don’t think you’re going to find a Bronco on lots when it goes on sale next spring though, strong chance this will look a lot like what KIA is going through with the Telluride right now. Massive demand, no supply, and MASSIVE markups.

I'm already enjoying the Jeep and 4Runner groupies going at it in Full Hate Mode.

In 10-years don't be surprised to see a Kia in that class. They already make the KM420 utility vehicle for the South Korean military. They are totally primed for the US truck and off-road SUV market. The Kia Design Center in Irvine, CA just needs to sprinkle a little Telluride magic in there for North American buyers. Maybe even get some tips from the Hyundai Construction division and if they drop in a Canoo electric platform in the Kia KLTV and dress it up for the consumer market they have an instant competitor to the new Hummer EV and Tesla Cybertruck.

FYI, Ford had controlled part of Kia ownership up to 1986, and wanted to buy Kia in the 1997 but Hyundai outbid them. (ref) Now Ford is looking at mostly trucks and SUVs and phasing out sedans.

Will be interesting to see Ford handle the supply/demand issue. They gonna steamroll dealer lots with them this spring like the damn United States Military charging foreign soil, or are they gonna pull a KIA and flounder on shore?! Ha

(bitter barely patient waiting paying customer here so everyone relax on the before mentioned analogy)

$100 refundable deposit doesn't mean much. Sounds to me like they are trying to create an illusion of popularity. I know people who put down $100 non-refundable on an Elio just so they could get a T-shirt and bumper sticker.

Putting aside possible pandemic related supply issues, Ford's manufacturing capabilities dwarf those of Kia. Ford flubbing a vehicle roll out probably looks a lot like how they "blew" the Explorer launch last year which meant dealers had to wait an extra three weeks before they were up to their eyeballs in Explorers.

Seriously. Lol "Failed launch" = 300,000 Broncos by next summer this time with faulty battery cables. 😝

I really really hope that’s the case! My guess though is that this car is going to be in rather high demand with its much anticipated release and the decades since they’ve made it, plus their incredibly loyal following, these trucks are gonna fly off of lots. And if that’s the case, we’re gonna see massive markups I’m sure. I’m also guessing the Bronco will follow the Wrangler in terms of at least selling at MSRP it higher new, and will retain its value very well in the resale market. But if not, and they’re piling up on dealer’s lots, then hopefully when I’m ready to purchase my next vehicle, these will be a steal!
