• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi Y’all We have pulled our small travel trailer for years with our trusty Mercury Mountaineer. We have just moved up to a ‘23 Telluride SX and have a few questions for you . Please feel free to be critical

Number 1: the Telluride came without trailer hitch and the dealer made it sound like a difficult and expensive option. E trailer.com makes their hitch sound like a simple DIY job and watching their video it looks to be within my capabilities. Any advice is welcomed

Number 2: I’ll need a wiring harness for a standard seven pin connector to the trailer, but I’m not clear which will work best on the vehicle. The vehicle has a connector box for to join the wiring to the vehicle . Any experience or advice on this?

I’ve been warned that improper wiring can damage the vehicle electronics. What do I need to watch out for?

There are quite a few threads on your subject. Use the search tool with the term towing and check search titles only. You should find what you need.
