  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Well I'm happy you didn't pay more than MSRP, everyone has different buying circumstances. We didn't want to settle on exterior color (white) interior color (gray) and captain seats on the S trim, FWD, we found that specific combination (12 within 1,000 miles of Ashburn) in Florida and jumped on it. It also came with premium options like side step bars, illuminated scuff plates and the cargo cover and folding mat, did not come with options we did not like such as the roof rack rails, interior lighting kit and tow package. So we found the perfect car at the perfect price and didn't overpay. I used miles to fly there and stay in a hotel, also we are expecting our second kid in 5 months and wanted to get this purchase and car shopping done and settled, no time to wait around for the perfect one to come to a small dealer down the street and hope it has everything we want and that no one else prices us out on the rare combination. Have a great day bro.
Congratulations on the second child.

I should have put a little more thought in my response by saying MSRP can be found in the region on lower trims if you are not picky about color combinations. I don't think I saw a single white on Gray interior trim in the several months that I was actively searching.

From the nightmare stories regarding shady dealers promising to hold a vehicle while somebody drives for hours to look at it, traveling outside of the area seemed too risky.

I'm really glad it worked out for you in the end. I bought a white S trim on black interior in November and I absolutely love the vehicle.

Welcome.....first of all, you now own a wonderful vehicle!! Second...you can find most anything you want to find on this forum.....and I mean everything, from the good-the bad-to the amazingly outstanding!!

Thank you, we are excited for the new addition to get here (and hopefully sleep well in the quiet rides).

The risks involved to get our perfect car never left my mind, so much that I never put down a deposit, just didn’t trust the process enough. But amazingly everything worked out and the dealer was great to work with. Our salesman actually took the keys and someone was not able to purchase the vehicle the day before I got there. He was old school first come first serve kind of guy.

The white on black is awesome too and I would have been fine with that, but the wife had to have gray (more of a cream anyway). It looks premium and luxurious but I know with two kids will get dirty eventually.

Enjoy the ride man!
