Congratulations on the second child.Well I'm happy you didn't pay more than MSRP, everyone has different buying circumstances. We didn't want to settle on exterior color (white) interior color (gray) and captain seats on the S trim, FWD, we found that specific combination (12 within 1,000 miles of Ashburn) in Florida and jumped on it. It also came with premium options like side step bars, illuminated scuff plates and the cargo cover and folding mat, did not come with options we did not like such as the roof rack rails, interior lighting kit and tow package. So we found the perfect car at the perfect price and didn't overpay. I used miles to fly there and stay in a hotel, also we are expecting our second kid in 5 months and wanted to get this purchase and car shopping done and settled, no time to wait around for the perfect one to come to a small dealer down the street and hope it has everything we want and that no one else prices us out on the rare combination. Have a great day bro.
I should have put a little more thought in my response by saying MSRP can be found in the region on lower trims if you are not picky about color combinations. I don't think I saw a single white on Gray interior trim in the several months that I was actively searching.
From the nightmare stories regarding shady dealers promising to hold a vehicle while somebody drives for hours to look at it, traveling outside of the area seemed too risky.
I'm really glad it worked out for you in the end. I bought a white S trim on black interior in November and I absolutely love the vehicle.
