On Friday morning, 8/6, I was given an updated ETA of 8/13. Saturday morning, 8/7, I was given the surprise call that my car was ready for pick up! I am now the proud owner of a SX AWD GG/G! I know that several will reply with, post pix or it didn't happen, but just haven't had a chance yet. I will shortly. I will say that I'm so happy I picked up Gravity Grey! I was torn between Dark Moss & GG when I walked into the dealer and left wondering if I would be content. I'm so glad I chose GG! This has nothing to do with not liking Dark Moss, because I do, it's really just about how much I like GG, especially with the grey interior.
At least one "hiccup" to report- the trim between driver side door and windshield was made of the Premium velvet headliner material (I DON'T have the Premium package). The rest of the trim was normal, including the headliner. So, just one piece was made of the "premium" material. Not sure how that got past all of the different checks along the way, other than it took me a few minutes to notice. I know the dealer will take care of, just strange that it happened. I will try to post pix later. My only advice for those who are undecided on their color (many of you as evidenced by the "can't decide" threads), go with your first choice OR force yourselves to the dealer where you're forced to make a decision. Then just stick with it. They're all beautiful and will delight you once you're the proud owner of one!
Thankful to those of you who discuss the Muncie Warranty so frequently. I was able to negotiate my extended warranty with my dealer from 3K to $1800. I know that's not as inexpensive as the Muncie offer, but being able to get warranty from my dealer outweighed the extra time to reach out to Muncie, etc. Plus it made me feel so good to get a good deal, especially since there's not dealing when it comes to the car price. They first offered 3K and I said no. Then offered 2500 and I said no. Then 2K (stuck to my guns), before the finance guy came out and asked if I'd do $1800- Yes! 10year bumper to bumper (with a $100 deductible). Coming from a car where I had to replace 2 water pumps, it was nice to get the added protection.
