  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Long time reader, first time poster. Haha, always wanted to say that. (sports talk radio joke) Seriously, I'm glad I found this forum and thank you all for contributing. I have been researching Tellurides for a couple months and finally bit the bullet. I put a deposit down on a Gravity Gray SXP AWD Nightfall edition with black interior. It was a deal another buyer backed out on and I was able to slide into their spot. It supposedly goes on the truck from GA in a couple days and should be ready for pickup on 4/04. I am keeping my fingers crossed for an early delivery though.
Seriously though, I appreciate all the comments that helped guide my decisions and I will post more details on the purchase including the name of the dealership if everything goes through as planned. I was able to find this dealer across town to honor MSRP (though my trade is still pending). In my suburb, the dealer asked for $8K above MSRP and I would still be waiting 2-6 mos. I will never give that stealership a dime of my money in a purchase or service.
I would not have understood the process for locating "my" car without this forums guidance.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Telluride! What will the Telluride be replacing for you? I'm glad you found us. :)

Hi Scotty. Welcome to the club. We’re in KC too and took delivery of ours in late Jan. I’m curious which dealer is offering you MSRP. I spoke to every dealer within the extended metro and no one was at MSRP unless you placed an order and waited. There were two dealers claiming to sell at MSRP but required the purchase of a protection package, nitrous in the tires and all that other bs stuff. When I responded, “so you’re $2,000 over MSRP,” they weren’t happy with me. We got lucky and found an unclaimed incoming unit with everything we wanted in the color we wanted at Oakes Kia. They were great to work with. Our total wait time was five weeks.

@KC_Ride, I don't want to publish the name of the dealer until the deal goes thru as promised. I don't see how to PM, but I could direct message you if I can find that option in the forum. That said, I found two dealers in KC that were at or near MSRP: Olathe Kia and Bob Sight Kia. Cable Dahmer was the worst and that is on the heels of a bad experience for my in-law on an Optima for Sportage trade attempt.
Thanks, Sal. I used to have a Nissan Pathfinder Platinum. After seeing the new Tellurides, I didn't want to wait for the 2022 Pathfinder or QX60 redesign, though they the renderings look nice. Had a good Kia experience with a Sorento in the early 2010s so I am hoping for the best possible Kia experience this go around.

“Frankie Knuckles” I am loving it. It rides soooo nice. Everything is firm and it feels put together really well. Got to go out to dinner in our new whip Sat. night.
“LouisD85” I am from the Missouri side.

It appears I have a laundry list of things to do now: tint and ppf appointment on Thursday. Griot’s 3 in 1 ceramic on the weekend. Plus getting used to everything, programming Homelink and infotainment system, etc. Need to decide on some floor mats too. Haha. I’m sure I’ll see you all in the forum while researching my next purchase.
