We went from a 2011 Prius to the 2022 Telluride. Our primary purposes for this is twofold- the ability to get around (off our property) in bad conditions and to tow a small(ish) travel trailer. We recently sold our motorhome and downsized to a 2022, 24' travel trailer (empty weight 4100 LBS). My wife and I travel light and are very aware of the weight limitations when packing for a trip. But.....we haven't got that far yet. Towing it empty (trailer has a Kurt weight distribution kit, installed by the RV dealer) from the RV dealer we noticed intermittent vibrations at or just below highway speeds. We've had it back to the RV Dealer and they found an issue with the RV, which they corrected (wheel bearing). Still has intermittent vibrations around 50MPH. I'm looking at all possible causes (the RV is going to a tire shop on Monday to verify tire balance). My question: How can I verify the weight distribution kit was set up/installed properly when it takes over a mile for the Nivomat shocks, on the Telluride, to compensate for the load? Could this be part of or THE problem with the intermittent vibrations? Beyond that, the Telluride tows the trailer very well, has lots of power and handles beautifully. Thanks in advance for any assistance!
