  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I was looking for an SX Nightfall in Wolf Gray. I found one at a local dealer. They’ve had it for three weeks which I found concerning. MSRP was $45,705. They added paint protection and a myriad of extra BS. Total $48,400. I decided to pass. I went to another dealer and drove an EX but really wanted Wolf Gray. They happened to have an SX Wolf Gray on order no tow package and no prestige package. Just what I wanted. Needless to say I put a deposit down. Should be in in early February. No VIN yet. This SX was purchased at MSRP. Also a $199 doc fee. They were the only dealer I could find in eastern Missouri that didn’t add on to MSRP. Anyway here I am waiting.

Congrats and you’re very lucky to have found a dealer allocation. Can’t wait to see pics! Happy New Year!

This dealer was not pushy. When I test drove the EX he told me to take my time deciding on it or the Wolf Gray that had on order. After 30 minutes or so I decided on Wolf Gray, it’s the color my wife likes. Little did I know but there were 3 people waiting behind me to drive the EX. Of course they sold it before I left the building. I had a good experience at this dealer. Hopefully everything works out on the Wolf Gray.

Correct. Decided on SX. They only had an EX to test drive.
I liked the extra cameras mostly.
Exact same thing here! We went to the local dealer, test drove the EX. Put a deposit on ordering an SX although they tried to sell me an S. I primarily wanted the SX for the cameras. Then I found out they mark up $5k so cancelled that order. Didn’t do my homework before hand. Glad u did!

The extra cameras are very very nice. I didn’t expect to love the 360 surround view cameras as much as I do, but now I can’t imagine having a big SUV like that without them.

Couldn't agree more. The 360 view is amazing. I came from an older car and my brain couldn't quite accept it at first - it felt like magic! Lol.

I am eagerly awaiting the call with a VIN number. Just like a kid. I should get a VIN in about two weeks and the Telly should arrive about a month later. Fingers crossed.

We are trading a 4Runner in. We LOVE the 4Runner. Toyota has finally put lane assist and adaptive cruise in them but blind spot and other tech is seriously lacking. If not for that we would definitely keep it. I have driven 4Runners for years and years and this is a super tough decision.

That's Missouri, they love that $199 doc fee, I ordered November 23rd, St Louis metro dealer, paid MSRP for SX PRE, now the wait..........

Yes. This was a St. Louis area dealer.

Nice. I also recently ordered a Wolf Gray SX with Nightfall and Prestige. In south TX it was definitely a challenge finding a dealer to do MSRP, even on a custom order. This color really looks good with the black accents from Nightfall.

Not much longer. Hopefully you'll enjoy the process of waiting for your Telluride. I can't tell you the amount of times I watched Telluride commercials or Telluride review videos or new owner Telly walk-around videos :)
